As usual, I will base my review on Ambience, Food and Service. We noted this place a few days ago while we were at this mall.
Ambience. We tried the place today for dinner. The atmosphere was nice, the place clean and well lit. It was a tad warm inside and the server noticed and immediately turned on the ac.
Food. We asked several questions regarding items on their menu and ordered the beef shawarma. It was good but I have had better Syrian shawarmas in several other countries. Nothing to complain about though. We expected a small shawarma and so we thought we should order a full meal. We decided to go for the Lamb Mandy for a couple. It came with sides. That was a mistake we soon realized. Too much food! The food was simply delicious and the quantity was enough for three and maybe four people. The bread that came was crispy on the outside and excellent. It went well with the curry or the ample amount of hummus they provided. The mint Arabic tea helped wash down the meal. Sadly, we could not finish and Simon who was an excellent host packed the rest for us to take home.
Service. From the moment we entered we were treated to absolutely excellent service. Simon and his team were very accommodating and attentive to our needs. When we were done, they cleaned the table so we could relax and enjoy our tea on a clean table. Simon insisted we move to a clean table but we did not want to have them clean another table.
Final Thoughts. This place is new and I have no hesitation recommending the place and their service and food to anyone who would like to try middle eastern food. You will not regret it. An update after a flowing visit. The quality has gone down, and they charge you for every packet of chilli sauce to eat the fries. Service quality has dropped and extremely slow. Sad to see...
Read more[Edit] The restaurant asked me to delete my review and to leave 5 stars only and straight away deleted the grape leaves off our bill. I maintained that I wanted to keep my review (originally I gave a generous 4 stars).
BUT!! they kept pestering me and saying things like my review is not good and will bring them trouble with their boss. I had to refuse over and over again!! And put a '5 star' in front of them to get them to leave me alone!
I left feeling pity for the waiter but decide to call out this restaurant's bribing behavior, as I have NEVER been pestered and forced to change and straight up DELETE a review.
This is my first time there, the restaurant is empty at 7pm, completely empty. Puzzled by the apparent 1000+ 5 stars review on Google, now i understand to what extent they bribe the customers into leaving ONLY 5 stars reviews. You know why it's empty? Because the food is overall mediocre but new customers come being misled by this overwhelmingly 5-star-and-praise-only Google reviews.
I ask that the restaurant don't pester me further into changing my review. Instead of bribing the customer, focus on making your food better!
[Original review] The portions are large, i like the hummus and the bread, it's so fragrant~ but the chicken mandy is quite dry. Kunafa is great, baklava is great too! Shawarma is lousy. Stuffed grape leaves is reaallly sour (balsamic vinegar).
The restaurant gives baklava desserts in return for...

Hadramawt Restaurant at Brem Mall in Kepong truly delivers an authentic and delightful Middle Eastern dining experience! From the moment you step in, the warm and inviting ambiance sets the perfect mood. The food is simply outstanding. We tried the Lamb Mandy and it was incredibly tender and flavorful, perfectly cooked with aromatic rice that transported us straight to Yemen. The Chicken Shawarma was also a hit â juicy, well-spiced, and wrapped in fresh bread. Every dish tasted genuinely homemade and meticulously prepared. Beyond the fantastic food, the service was exceptional. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful meal. They were happy to explain the menu and make recommendations. Hadramawt Restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in Kepong for anyone craving authentic Arabic cuisine. Whether you're a long-time fan of Middle Eastern food or new to its flavors, you'll find something to love here. Highly recommended for a casual meal or a family gathering! We'll definitely be...
