Restaurant Thai Blessing Food Review Date: Friday (7/2/2025)
Upon arriving at Restaurant Thai Blessing, I was immediately struck by the fantastic entrance. The door was adorned with festive Chinese New Year decorations and vibrant lanterns hanging on the front roof. The restaurant was bustling with a fair number of patrons, which contributed to a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
After placing my order, I appreciated the prompt service—the food arrived within 10 to 15 minutes, which is commendable for a busy dining spot.
Food and Beverage Highlights:
Fried Kalian with Crispy Pork: Unfortunately, this dish did not meet my expectations. The kailan was overly bitter, which detracted from the dish, and while the pork was decent, it left room for improvement in both flavor and preparation.
Fried Pork Belly: Since the pandan fried chicken was out of stock, I opted to try the fried pork belly instead. This dish turned out to be marvelous—crunchy on the outside with good quality meat. However, it was slightly too salty for my taste, which is something the kitchen might consider adjusting.
Thai Pork Sausage: My parents enjoyed the Thai pork sausage, although I found it a bit too spicy for my palate.
Seafood Tom Yum with Rice: According to my parents, this dish was quite good. The seafood was fresh and the tom yum had a nice kick of spice, although it may be a bit intense for those who prefer milder flavors.
Beverages: The watermelon juice was refreshing, though I felt that at RM11.90, it was rather expensive—even with the added bonus of a watermelon slice. The lemon tea was served in a bottle accompanied by a cup of ice, which was convenient but left me wishing for a bit more flair.
Overall Impression:
Restaurant Thai Blessing offers a generally pleasant dining experience with a vibrant atmosphere and efficient service. While some dishes—like the fried pork belly and seafood tom yum—were delightful, others, such as the fried kalian with crispy pork, could use some refinement. Additionally, the pricing leans toward the higher side, which may prompt some diners to consider their options carefully.
In summary, while the restaurant has a lot to offer in terms of ambiance and a few standout dishes, there is room for improvement in balancing flavors and adjusting prices. I would recommend Restaurant Thai Blessing for its overall experience, with the suggestion that potential visitors be prepared for a bit of spice and a few minor...
Read moreIt’s been a long time since I wrote a negative review, but today I simply couldn’t hold back.
This was my second visit. The first time, I came for their tom yum soup—it was pretty decent, and I even received a voucher. I noticed their chicken rice looked good too, so for Father’s Day, I brought my husband to try it.
Although the restaurant was busy, we were seated quickly. However, no staff noticed us until we waved for attention. Menus were eventually brought over, and while I must say the food arrived fast, we were left waiting again—this time for cutlery. We had to wave again and wait several minutes before they were finally delivered.
I’m giving one star solely for the plating—it looked appealing. But taste-wise, everything fell flat.
The Thai roast pork was honestly the worst I’ve had in a while: the skin was soft, chewy, and far from crispy. The braised pork knuckle was average at best. The poached chicken looked nice, but had no special flavor—nothing memorable.
My husband ordered a mango smoothie. We waited quite a while after finishing our meal, but it never came. After flagging a staff member again, they came over and took away the order slip…
After a while, the staff went to the table behind and said: Mango was out of stock, do you want to replace with other drinks? The confused customers responded, “We didn’t.”
Hmmm the staff couldn’t even remember which customer ordered the Mango smoothie.
Frustrated, I walked to the counter to pay. A lady in yellow shirt (lady boss?) was busy chit chatting . When I said I’d like to settle the bill, she casually pointed me to the next counter. I said, “Table 11. The mango smoothie wasn’t served. Please cancel it.” She replied, “Oh? Didn’t serve it? Do you still want to wait? If not, I’ll cancel.”
I wasn’t angry about the missing drink—it’s the careless attitude that bothered me. Shouldn’t someone check what went wrong? Shouldn’t a simple “Sorry” be said to the customer? And how is it possible that the restaurant ran out of mangoes and no one even knew?
You may think a single drink doesn’t matter, but if every table cancels their orders due to poor service, it adds up to a serious loss.
📌 Final Thoughts: If you’re going for photos and trendy vibes, go ahead. But if you’re truly after good food, you might want...
Read moreThis is just my personal experience with my family.
We ordered a few of thier chicken rice and roast pork rice but the waiter/waitress at first said that the roast pork rice had to wait for 10 to 20minutes and ask us whether we wanna change dish, and since my son insist want to eat then we do mentioned we can wait , and then after that they come forward again saying some more excuse that want us to change the roast pork dish then later on only reveal that might be the kitchen was too busy or what to prepare that roast pork, so we have no choice but change to soy sauce chicken dish.
Frankly if at first they tell us that roast pork ran out or finish then we can react otherwise but then they like keep giving false hope and wrong info which caused us trouble of waiting and comforting my son
Lastly let's review the food Seafood mama mee - 3.5/5 Braised or soy sauce chicken - 2/5 Braised tofu - had a weird taste to it, therefore I gave 1/5 (whole family experience the weird taste, avoid this) Garlic pork rice - 3/5 (acceptable with the price charge)
Services wise waiter need to be reminded to bring our drink over which is after all out dishes had served , I know we only order 1 drink for 4 adult but please we do order one more after that.
Overall food experience not really like the kind me and my family would like to come back again
Expect to wait for table if come later than 6pm
Maybe today is my bad luck day which after having such a nice lunch today and which need to balance out with bad dinner experience...
