Update 31/01/25: Restaurant reply that fish maw was not on the menu, however when I check back the screenshot of their 2pax set menu that day, fish maw was actually on the menu. I think dont have any misunderstanding. Attached with the menu screenshot in the photo part.

Seldom respond to restaurant’s reply, but I think I want to make the thing clear.

-- A very terrible dining experience. I understand that restaurants can be busier during Chinese New Year and ingredient shortages are understandable, but the attitude of the staff was really awful.

We ordered the RM188 set meal for two pax, and the boss told us they had run out of prawns and offered to replace with shrimp ball. We agreed.

However, midway of the meal, we realized not all the dishes in the set were served. We called over a staff member to check if the set was complete, and without checking, she said all the dishes was served.

When we questioned why the portions were so small, isnt it ordering ala carte might be better value than set, she replied, “Yes, next time you can just order a la carte, more worthy” 🤣.

We then called the boss, only find out that the fish maw, ring rolls, and squid from the set were missing, and even the shrimp ball they promised to replace the prawns was not served 😅.

The same staff member again when we were paying. We asked if there was a 10% birthday discount, and she immediately said no without thinking. I showed her the promotion post from their IG, and she then changed her answer to “yes” 😅. The restaurant also mistakenly added another table’s Kickapoo to our bill.

We came all the way here to enjoy a pre-New Year dinner, but it was such a disappointment. I really regret choosing this place. The service quality and attitude of the boss and staff need serious...

First time here, made a reservation at 8, this place is always packed or fully booked if you're not aware. It was full house for dinner service. Staff service is fit for a local eatery, don't expect fancy training provided to them, staffs are mostly the average uncle and aunties mixed with some youngsters. The main highlight here are definitely the handmade wontons, dumplings, prawn balls etc. They make it with generous ingredients and the taste is sooo fresh. As for the meat selection, they have local meats and imported ones (mostly from Australia), the local beef and pork (something like 嫩牛 or 嫩猪) are damn good. And as others may have pointed out, the soup is where improvements could be made. But still, I can see they are quite generous in the materials used to making the soup base (for eg. the pork bone broth has a big marrow bone and a few cuts of corn in it; and the Tomyam had alot of lemongrass etc) However, flavour wise the broth does need some work. And don't worry if your group isnt a big one, since they allow orders for half servings (at exactly half the price of one full serving; most other steamboat places would upcharge a half serving for some few extra bucks like RM20 for a full plate and RM12 for a half plate) All in all, highly...

I recently visited Harbour Steamboat in Sri Petaling, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, the friendly and attentive staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a cozy meal with family and friends.

The highlight of the meal was, of course, the steamboat. The selection of fresh fishball and luncheon meat was impressive, and everything was of the highest quality. The broth was flavorful and fragrant, with just the right amount of spice to add some heat without overpowering the delicate flavors of the ingredients.

In addition to the steamboat, we also ordered some side dishes, century eggs is one of the highlight, and they were equally delicious. The crispy fried luncheon meat and fried fishball were particularly noteworthy. The portions were generous, and everything was served piping hot and fresh.

The service was top-notch throughout the meal, with the staff always on hand to refill our broth or offer recommendations for the best combinations of ingredients. Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience at Harbour Steamboat, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in Sri Petaling.

I will definitely...

Just had an extremely affordable dinner at this place. This place specialises in assortment of balls. We had the mushroom pork balls, cuttle fish balls, fried fish balls, etc. So, if you like huge variety of balls, do give this place a visit. Next thing that impresses me, is the smooth beef. It is really smooth after cooking. It is also very flavorful from the marination. Condiments accompanied was enough. Just the coriander, fried garlic oil and soy sauce was enough for me. They also have chili for the spice eaters. Soup base was boiled from bone, as evident from the bone in the soup. It was tasty. The staff were attentive and teaches you how to cook and use the condiments with the fish and tofu. Overall experience was nice with about 30-40mins drive from KL city. But do make a reservation before the visit to ensure you got a table.
