Came to have dinner by myself after work.
Ordered a cheese baked chicken chop rice and a hot cup of milk tea. The rice dish was cheesy enough compared to many other restaurants serving Hong Kong style dishes. I'm satisfied with that. The tea isn't as overly strong or bitter like the ones I've had at other places. Which is a good change of pace as a tea drinker.
After that, I ordered one each of the oven baked "char siew" bun and the Belgian butter egg tart and another hot tea for dessert. The manager gave me an extra "char siew" bun.
It was around 9.20pm so the manager asked around the tables if we wanted to order any more items. I said no.
To me, he asked if I would like another bun and egg tart. I said "are you sure?" He said: "yeah, we're closing for the night and we happen to have some left over". I said: "if they are a freebie, then yes please, and thank you". Graciously thanked him again when I paid my bill.
Surprisingly good service, not to say my experience of eating out has been bad. Not at all. But this one was exceptional. The male manager was very generous. Maybe I was just lucky, and it was just circumstantial generosity. But it worked out for me.
Please note that if you're coming here for a meal, don't ask for a freebie unless they offer. Be nice. They are still running a...
Read moreUsed to love the yin yong/cham but now it is in plastic cup and not so tasty (gao). Had tried instant noodles, cheese baked rice, French toast - they r so so only. Tried Mongolian chicken rice (pic) n liked it.
Mix of western, local and Hong Kong food. Drinks - coffee, tea, bottled, etc. Bright and simple deco but tables are quite near each other. Can be noisy. Hv outdoor at balcony (shaded) and indoor. Air cond is strong.
Order with pencil n paper. Pay at cashier at entrance. Cash n cashless. Service is usually good for me but I had seen slow delivery to other customer who arrived before me.
Very near MRT Metro Prima. MRT Park n ride is in next building. Shoplots here - very hard to find parking. Alternative parking is AEON metro prima (opposite, via bridge from AEON mall -...
Read moreLook at the photos! Some food tasted really good like the chicken chop, but some were bad, really bad like the fried rice..imagine having fried rice from school canteen, that's how it taste like.
Food was still acceptable but the whole restaurant is poorly managed. Although there's was a queue and number issued, anyone can walk in and sit when there were table vacated.
And the staff won't give menu till asked. Some food will arrive first and some forever didn't come. When asked and finally arrived, instead of pork chop as ordered, they gave chicken chop.
And during entire meal, staffs keep bringing different table's order to our table. Not only the foreign staffs were blur, the Chinese equally dreaming.
Always see long que when passing by but for us, one...
