Restoran QQ BBQ Steamboat Buffet @ Kepong — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Today this is exactly 1 week after i suffered from severe bout of food poisoning after having the buffet steamboat here. I have almost recovered but i know how much i suffered this past 1 week coz of the severe food poisoning. Actually this was my 3rd time here. the first 2 time it was alright i guess. but this time i think the fish and probably the fish ball or pork was contaminated. when i looked at the fish , i was thinking why is the color a bit yellowish but since everyone was having it so i had that too. the next day morning my diarrhoea started accompanied by very high temperature and fever, those were the symptoms of food poisoning. took immodiums and other pills for 3 to 4 days non stop. My diarrhoea stopped only after 5 days. it was that severe. well it was not just me, My friend has also been having similar symptoms. unfortunately for her , the diarrhoea and stomach pain still havent stopped. i really hope she recovers soon . This was the LAST time and i will never ever go to this resto again. well i am not blaming anyone here , but i sincerely wish the restaurant does something to improve the food standards and the cleanliness here. I understand for buffett sometimes the restaurant compromises on the quality of the food but please also think about yr customers health as well. I understand covid has been tough on the restaurant business here but please dont compromise on food quality and safety. Sincere request. Thanks...

Pro: Got check mysejahtera vaccination status. Then got spray disinfectant.

Spacing distance between table is still ok. Fan placed around to circulate the air flow

Own utensils at table to pickup your raw food for buffet section

Con: Didn't request all diners to wear face mask when they go pick items at buffet section (some diners just walk around without face mask inside the shop)

Didn't supervised the diners when they use bare hand to pick up the items from the seafood sections (saw it with my own eyes as I sat just right in front, lucky I came early and done eating that time)

Didn't supervise the crowd when they serve out the sweet chillies crab as no distancing at all, 5-6 ppl all stick together body to body to fight for the crab. For Covid 19 period now, Suggest the owner to be more generous and not so kedekut to serve the crab table by table by asking diners whether they want the crab or not? Serving can be follow by per pax size for each table and maybe restricted to how many time per table only. Just my suggestion only. If not wish the owner lucky until one day fined by Govt for breaching SOP. Good luck then...

Price is fair with the varieties offered such as steamboat items, hot pan items, drinks, desserts and some ready cooked food like fried rice, fried noodles, curry chickens, fried chickens and sweet...

This was the first and last dinner at steamboat QQ BBQ. Very disappointed as most types of seafood shells are not washed properly as is the sand inside. The floor is slippery during rainy days. Must walk more carefully, especially for the elderly and children. As mentioned in the name card there are 200 types of food but I did not find there are 200 types. There is very limited seafood to choose from. I believe they count all sauces, soft drinks and snacks as a meal as well. Marinated meat is very tough after BBQ. Can barely chew it. My teeth will fall out after chewing on BBQ meat. Shark fin soup has a very fishy smell. Crabs are very small. The staff who prepare the drinks are very unhygienic they pour colored drinks from the plastic kept in the container. That is considered disgusting. The environment is unpleasant because the distance for each small table(4 pax) is too close to other small tables. BBQ smoke from other tables will blow to our table and we will inhale the BBQ smoke.
