We are from Singapore. Young owner of cafe shared with us his entrepreneurship story. The name 'Klesis' means 'a call', an 'invitation'. Owner wishes that people who walk into the cafe find peace, joy and healing.
I think I experienced that indeed. Listening to the story was refreshing and inspiring -- the owner perservered and found peace and healing each time he encountered challenges. He stayed true to the calling. I took that away, ending my 2023 with new insights for 2024. Do grab the humble owner for a chat if you like some inspiration!
The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet. We wanted a cosy cafe away from the buzz of the city. This cafe is 20min grab/taxi ride from KL center where our hotel is - extremely easy.
The oat milk latte was nice. I drink oat milk latte daily but this one 'got feel'. The cheese cake is really GREAT. So moist inside, and the top layer burnt skin was so nicely done.
Overall spending - RM160+ for 4 pax. We had spagetti, egg roll, big breakfast, nasi lemak, salad, 2 chèese cakes, 3 oat milk latte and 1 Americano. Quite a spread for what we spent, and walked away full in the stomach and...
Read moreFood is not bad, barista is friendly, I think the owner was there too.. Nice and friendly too! Hot chocolate is not to my taste. A little sweet, but of course, it's my personal preference or taste bud! Some ppl might love it! Waitress cum cashier is NOT friendly and kinda fierce and rude! She has issues with her tone, her body language!! We are not here to have a mothery figure to urge or question us about everything!!! Ie: I gave you a spoon just now. What happened to it?? Hello, excuse me! we have 7 or 8 adults!! U gave us sets of cutlery but not equal to head count or per mains ordered!! We have the option to share food ordered we probably had used up. When food served, she questioned us what happened to the cutlery?? Hello pls if it is difficult to get sets of cutlery, probably the owner could have told us to use our own cutlery, and we are happy with it, but just don't spoil the customers' mood!! It's absolutely irritating! This is just one of...
Read moreCouldn’t find a cafe for breakfast at 8am and I Google, Klesis popped up, so I tried my luck since I have no other choices.
Located deep inside OUG (I first thought it was around the busy market area), atleast not those places where cars are double or even triple parked.
Ordered a Big Breakfast and hot Long Black (can’t go wrong right?)
Turn out to be one of the best big breakfast i ever ate, the bun are small but crunchy outside, soft inside, sausage tasted yummy (am not a cheese person, but this cheesy sausage some how not bad at all). The portion is quite big, fit the definition.
Coffee not the best but still above average.
Nice, clean and simple environment. Wanted to try the egg roll as many recommended this, but alone today cant take anymore after the big breakfast, will try it next time.
Overall, great food, cozy environment,...
