I never really had any reason to be in Wangsa Maju but now I do. Tucked away in what looks like a humble, no-frills shop is a restaurant that absolutely blew me away. I stumbled upon it because of its near-perfect Google reviews, and honestly? They weren’t lying. The food? Incredible. Every bite was packed with flavour, the kind that makes you pause mid-chew just to appreciate what’s going on in your mouth. The chilli oil was smoky, fragrant, and addictive. The dumplings were plump, juicy, and clearly made with love. But the real showstoppers? The lamb short ribs and the spiced beef. Insanely tender, perfectly seasoned, and just full of soul. And the rice? It vanished. Completely soaked up all that glorious sauce, and I found myself scraping every last grain off the plate. Where did the rice go? Into my belly fast. It’s rare to walk away from a meal feeling this satisfied, not just full, but happy. I get why this place has such a loyal following now. If you’ve never had a reason to visit Wangsa Maju, now you do. Trust me.

We came late afternoon on a Sunday. Heaps of parking available. There were around 4 tables available so we were lucky that it’s not full. I believe they serve Xinjiang chinese food so it’s a bit different than your usual chinese food. We ordered the roasted lamb (small), deep fried noodles, beef dumplings and plum tea drink. Really fast service, our food came in 5-10 mins of ordering. The food portion was huge, we shared everything between the two of us. And everything was sooo delicious. We were surprised that the roasted lamb was crispy on the outside yet the texture isn’t hard / that chewy. All of the food had its own strong flavours. The plum tea was refrigerated, very refreshing, not too sweet. I’m not usually adventurous with my food choices, but this restaurant made me wanna try new things and i am very pleased with my decision as the food were very good. I’m already looking forward to our next visit here to try other dishes on their menu.

Location: Place is easy to find, parking might be a bit of an issue during peak times, but not entirely impossible. Food: The only thing that had perfect score for this restaurant. Portions are generous, the taste for each dish is impressive, even the tea tasted good. Services: Peak hours may require you to wait. Services were generally acceptable, but language barrier can potentially hinder effective order (but they were swift to rectify). Waiters may appear slow but they were actually very attentive (eg offering a glass of ice even before I asked). Ambience: Basic restaurant set up, with very minimal effort to decorate the restaurant. Nothing instaworthy of this place, basically a place for you to enjoy the delicious food and then go. Recommended. Will drop by if I happened to be nearby. But Not the type of restaurant that I would drive all the way from Sungai Buloh to satisfy my craving.
