Update as of 26/4/2025: yes, no end to the habit of "reserving" public parking lots as if it is theirs. Who do they think they are.

Update as of 24/4/2025: the kopitiam is at it again "reserving" parking lot as if they own it or paid for reservation. #DBKL

Update as of 19/4/2025: drove by the shop and saw all the parking lots in front of the shop, "booked'. Did Lok Tim pay to reserve the lots as I see only yellow boxes and not red ones. #DBKL

I am amazed that the Wanton Noodle stall is still operating.

Update as of 6/12/2024: was busy updating with new places that I ate at till I forgot to do the same here: it happened about 2 weeks ago. Most stalls were closed but I ate Wanton

Noodle at this place cos most stalls next door were closed and it was the same with this Kopitiam. The meat in the wanton had odour, indicating the meat has sold for a long time - it was no longer fresh.

Update September 10, 2024: it was raining - light shower- and the stir-fry stall worker was preparing marinated meat under the rain, exposing the meat to rainwater.

Update as at July 23, 2024: Looks like some people never learn their lesson. It has been shutdown due to poor hygiene and also allowing customers and hawkers to smoke at its premises. It happened, again. The hawker that sells Pork Jerky Roll was seated at the same table also smoking and chatting with the 2 men. Despite the recent shutdown, the owner still continues to allow patrons and hawkers to smoke at it's premises. Harsher reprimand from the powers-that-be, perhaps?

Update as of July 16, 2024. Recently, officials ordered this kopitiam to close due to poor hygiene. It surprisingly opened and those people sitting in the shop are the bulk friends and relatives of the hawkers. They will just sit for hours chatting with the hawkers without eating anything or just order one drink. To me, it looked like they want to create the perception that there are customers. Don't be taken in.

Update on 30 June, 2024. Avoid the prawn noodle stall. It is on a "SHRINKFLATION" spree. It serves pitiful number of teeny prawns and noodle portion has significantly shrunk. There are better kopitiam or Foodcourt around that area.

I used to frequent this place but have hardly set foot in it lately. The now, once-in-the-bluemoon visit sees me ordering Sarawak dishes (it is permanently shut since May 1. 2024), or burger in the evening if the stall is open. But no longer because the burger stall has changed owner. Even the dimsum in this place is INEDIBLE ... the dimsum tasted like those from hypermarket with some soggy, a sign that they are stale.

Avoid the Chinese stir-fry stall at all cost as the price has gone up with the portion served, shrunk. To further add insult, the staff will ignore you when you are ordering which, spurred I to walk away, peeved. As if that is not bad enough, yesterday, a stir-fry worker dragged my table a few feet away from its stall while I was eating. The worker gave the excuse that my table was blocking its way - how could that be when the table was set up there all the time and there was no such issue before - I think it is because I did not order my food from them. BUT, THE TABLE IS NOT EXCLUSIVELY, THEIRS. AVOID THIS STALL AT ALL COST. THE KOPTIAM NEXT DOOR SERVES BETTER FOOD AND THE COFFEE IS PRICED THE SAME BUT OF BETTER QUALITY.

I have used the photo from another reviewer, SY TEO, to show where I was seated. Note the...

Ordered Prawn Mee and Jawa Mee. The taste was quite authentic from Northern Malaysia. However, there were few things I am looking forward for their improvement. 1. Prawn Mee. The prawn could be stir fried 2. Prawn Mee. It would be good to serve sliced pork in addition to the fish cake. 3. Jawa Mee. The prawn crackers could be thinner and more crispy. 4. Jawa Mee. A few slices of green chilli could be put on top of it. 5. Jawa Mee. Serving with sambal sotong...

Chee cheong fun and chicken rice are nice. I gave higher rating due to this food taste.

Highly recommended for the chicken rice that comes soup and chilies. Chicken rice Uncle is very friendly and generous. Highly recommended.

Drinks sell by this kopitiam also recommended. Nice and flavorful.

However I hate those people smoking while I'm having my food. Shop operator let customer smokes at outside don’t seem...

Personally I'd prefer this wantan mee stall out of the 3 kopitiam on this street. The standard of the small size wantan mee was always good. If you order medium or big portion, the taste standard is not guarantee due to 碱水味. The char siew slices all firm and no fat, healthy and 良心. Unlike some seller give all fat char siew or hard to chew. 8.5 for mid size noodle.
