Atmosphere: 4.5đ Very nice spot, it's peaceful and quiet outside and very spacious. There are seats outside (about 4-5 tables) surrounded by plenty of pot plants. Not easy but the owner made good effort to maintain them. Not to mention the surrounding scenery is great as well, plenty of greeneries as well. Inside it's very well air conditioned and also has some small pot plants. There are small and bigger tables (from 2 to 4 seaters. There are also seats by the bar counter where you can have a clearer view of the baristas in actions. There's plenty of power plugs for the side seats so it's quite suitable for working with your laptops and devices in longer hours. I love how spacious the place is and it also has nice background music.
Service: 4.25đ Friendly helpful service, you'll be greeted when you walks in. They will serve you a cup of plain water together with the menu. The lady is also very friendly and helpful with the orders.
Dessert: Original Fuwa Fuwa Pancake 3.5đ This Japanese Souffle Pancake (three of them) maybe the most popular dessert. The outer layer is a bit brown and more solid while inside it is cooked through well and looks almost like a bread. It is quite bouncy and more soft than it actually looks when you start cutting through it. When you eat it, it feels its sort of melting in your mouth easily and had this egg white sort of taste. They pairs it with whipped "nama" cream which is also very soft but it brings a slight different taste to it. Overall, its a quite light dessert and if you feel you need more flavour you can dip or add the homemade syrup to add a little bit of sweetness as its not that sweet. For me, its interesting experience but it maybe a bit too mild of a dessert for me overall. Priced at Rm 21.60++ which is not cheap. Probably cost is more towards skill and time to prepare rather than ingredient cost.
Drinks: Flat White (Iced) 4đ Went for normal fresh milk. The drink is super smooth and the coffee flavour is not very bitter but does have this nice aftertaste so very easy to enjoy for non Caffeine lover like me. Priced...
Read moreNeighbours Cafe has quickly become one of our favorites, and for good reason! Their souffle is an absolute standout â easily the best Iâve had among all the cafes Iâve visited. The texture is perfectly light and fluffy, with just the right balance of sweetness. While the souffle alone could have made our visit worthwhile, we didnât order it this time since we were there for breakfast. But if youâre visiting, itâs definitely a must-try!
Instead, we opted for another favorite dish of ours â the Curry Chicken Karaage. This dish is nothing short of exceptional. The fried chicken is topped with a mysterious ingredient that adds a unique and irresistible flavor, elevating the entire dish. The rice is another highlight , itâs soft, fluffy, and reminds me of premium Japanese rice. Pairing the rice with their sauce creates a harmonious balance of textures and flavors. The curry sauce itself is rich, creamy, and absolutely addictive â we couldnât get enough of it. The portion size is also worth mentioning; itâs hearty enough for two people to share and leave completely satisfied.
For a lighter addition, we also tried their croissant, and it was a pleasant surprise. At first glance, it didnât look particularly appealing, but the staff thoughtfully warmed it up for us, and that made all the difference. The exterior was flaky and buttery, while the interior was soft and slightly chewy â a delightful treat that paired wonderfully with our drinks.
Speaking of drinks, their Hot Latte deserves a special mention. The foam was silky smooth, and the coffee itself had a rich and robust flavor that was perfectly balanced â not too bitter, not too sweet. Itâs one of those lattes that you savor slowly, appreciating every sip.
The only small drawback is the parking situation. To access the cafe, youâll need to park in a paid parking lot, as street parking is no longer allowed in the area. While this might be a slight inconvenience, itâs definitely worth it for the quality of food and service youâll receive here.
Overall, this cafe delivers an exceptional dining experience, from their well-executed dishes to their warm and attentive service. Whether youâre in the mood for a decadent souffle, a satisfying main course, or just a great cup of coffee, this is a spot you wonât want to miss. Highly...
Read moreI tried out this local neighbourhood cafe on a Saturday morning. Situated in a residential area about 20 minutes out of the city centre. The cafe is well presented, and predominantly white decor minimalist. There is also an alfresco area at the front softened by planter tubs of greenery. It presents as being fresh, clean and welcoming with pleasant music playing in the background. On walking into the cafe, I was greeted by a young lady behind the counter, with a welcome 'Good morning' and a smile. On perusing the menu (which is simple, uncomplicated and tempting), I enquired if I could change the style of eggs on a salmon breakfast, to which (she) replied that this could be done. Note: This is a 'plus' for me as so many cafes these days do not change items on a dish from what is printed on the menu. I ordered my breakfast and a long black coffee and took a seat at a clean white table (window side). Whilst waiting, I noticed that all three service staff were keeping themselves occupied even though the cafe was not that busy at the time of my visit (9.45am)...approximately ten patrons. My coffee and breakfast arrived promptly and I was delighted to see the food plate looking fresh, well presented and with two perfectly cooked poached eggs, soft and runny yolks when broken. The side garnish of mixed leaves, cherry tomatoes and dressing was a lovely addition. The smoked salmon was fresh, and not too salty (some can be). My coffee - long black was pleasant, it was soft and mellow on the palette, however had a slight bitter aftertaste (for me). I ordered a second for comparison...it was perfect!! Overall, my experience at this cafe was a lovely start to my day. I would like to visit again at a different time of day, afternoon or evening for comparison. The cafe trades until 11pm, and I would hope that local residents patronise this establishment as it is well worth the visit. Decor/Ambience - 8/10 Food - 9/10 Coffee - 8/10 Staff (service and friendliness) - 9/10
