Lo Faro Cuisine — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

We had a very unpleasant dining experience at this restaurant on 29 March 2025 (around 2:45pm). The American breakfast and grilled chicken chop were burnt and the oil on the plate was visibly dirty and black. When we brought this to the waiters' attention, the two waitresses simply told us that this was their "normal" way of serving grilled food. Instead of replacing the food, they just changed the plate and brought the same burnt food back.

We also ordered a soft-shell crab spaghetti aglio olio, but the crab had a strong ammonia smell, which is a clear sign that it was not fresh. Again, we informed the staff, but they repeated the same excuse.

Overall, both the food quality and service were extremely disappointing. This kind of attitude towards customers is unacceptable, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Neighborhood Cafe Search

Found this cafe online decided to give it a try during a lazy Sunday afternoon. Order (1) flat white (2) Classic Breakfast with beef bacon.

Verdict: Ambience : australian influenced (?). minimal industrial looking. But nice and quiet.

Parking: plenty except during Sunday lunch (parents waiting for kids coming out form Sunday school)

Coffee: Good. Smooth. Not acidic. (Pity about the failed pattern though, see photo attached)

Food: Australian feel to its menu. Big portion. Taste decent but not exiciting. Bacon not crispy and did not like the cut they've chosen. Onion is not caramelised enough. Green was bitter and could not find the dressing in it.

Price: very good value especially by the standard of PJ and KL areas.

Conclusion: worth a try. Will come again to try their other dishes. It is convenient especially if you live...

Cozy and quiet cafe.

• Vegetable aglio olio RM10 is good. • Chicken chop RM18 is over cooked, charred on one side which of course is placed facing down and veggies (carrot & potatoes are under cooked, tough to bite in). • Lamb chop RM29 (I think 🤔) was over cooked - and veggies (carrot & potatoes are under cooked. • Peanut butter and banana waffles 🧇 RM14 is delicious - recommended. • Tiramisu nut cake 🍰 RM14 is nice - ok. • Blueberry cake 🍰 RM14 tastes average - not recommended. La Faro coffee ☕️ RM9 is good - recommended. Cold brew is very diluted ~ not recommended here.

Prices are considered expensive as the portion is not big.

Overall it’s a nice place for hanging out and chatting with friends. Hot coffee, peanut butter banana waffle 🧇 and Vegetable aglio olio was good. Other foods not...
