Food Review: A Mixed Experience at This Steamboat Spot
This casual steamboat restaurant offers a reasonable dining experience, but there are some noticeable areas for improvement. Here’s a detailed breakdown:
🌤 Atmosphere: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) The ambiance is average. The indoor seating was disappointing due to non-functional air conditioning, making it uncomfortably stuffy. However, the outdoor seating was a better choice, with a pleasant breeze and cozy warm white lighting that added to the dining experience. It’s a decent setup but lacks any standout features.
🍴 Service: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) The service operates entirely on a self-service model, which might not suit everyone. Additionally, most tables were pre-booked, leaving us with a less desirable spot at the back. While the staff was polite, their involvement was minimal.
🍽 Food: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) The menu felt limited compared to their Sentul outlet. While the basics like chicken, beef, squid, lamb, fish balls, and cheese-stuffed meatballs were available, the variety didn’t meet expectations. The quality of the ingredients was acceptable but nothing memorable. The lack of freshness and creativity in the selection was a letdown, especially for repeat customers.
💰 Price: ★★★★☆ (4/5) At RM35.90 per person (excluding tax), the price is reasonable for what’s offered. However, there’s an additional RM10 charge for Tom Yum soup, which feels unnecessary and overpriced for a staple option.
🚗 Parking: N/A Parking was not assessed during this visit, but being in a central location, expect it to be competitive during peak hours.
🏠 Final Verdict Would I return? Possibly, but only if I’m nearby and craving steamboat. While the price is fair, the limited variety and subpar service make it hard to recommend this branch wholeheartedly.
Ideal time to visit: Evenings are likely better for the outdoor breeze and ambiance.

Read moreThis is a bad place to eat with your friends and family. There are a few things that I will talk about, Main thing is the price, the food and the service. Price💵 -Absolutely horrendous. It's a steamboat restaurant, why do we got charge Rm10 for a kitchen? I hate that it says that it says rm35 per person but there's hidden charges. My family and I also got charged by adding more tomyam for rm10. The price is so stacked it's extremely foolish for a person to get charged this much. Food🍎 -With a high price comes with a great food is it? Well in this case, no. The food is inedible because majority of the food has already gone bad. The chicken, the seafoods, meatballs, the mushroom and more has gone bad it's insane. Remember this place charge's us a lot and we got this quality of food served with us. It's an assumption but I think that they mix the old foods with the new one's because some of them are okay but majority has gone bad already. The beverage's is fine except for the grape one. Idk it doesn't taste right... Service🤵 The staff doesn't keep that level of professionalism. Some of them are kind of rude and not really welcoming. It's not that bad but its "meh".
