Went to sids pub earlier, walked in right away and sat at one of the outside tables, the entire table was shaking and unbalanced and unable to be used so we had to change, My party and i were greeted with the words, Hey Bro and after taking our orders the response was Ok brother and it felt strange and insulting since right after that a white customer who came in was called Gentlemen and sir right off the bat, are the staff only able to greet customers based on race or just being incompetent? considering the White customer was swearing left right and center he gets a proper greeting and served in a decent way, as someone who has trained people in service line from hotels to F&B not only did it upset my companion but also made me upset, i know its a pub but have some standards customers should be greeted with sir, gentlemen boss to all not just specific customers, bro is not a term that should be used in serving.
The Gravy from the Sunday roast set was watery and lacked flavor , the beef a bit undercooked but the vegetables were fine.
Pubs are known for alcohol but even then a coffee or tea before drinking hours shouldn't be instant or so watered down it tastes horrible as someone who ran a pub a lot of sales came from coffee in the afternoon and evening so not having a basic coffee machine is rather strange cause that in itself is a good money maker unless the management advises against it but having instant is the reason you might have not had any tables during the 6pm or earlier crowd.
Honestly i Wouldn't recommend coming here cause the prices are not worth the drinks and service considering the area and options all around, I'm not surprised it was empty after paying then walking around the area and seeing everywhere else was full.
I would suggest re-training staff to greet and have the kitchen work on providing a meal worth 60++ rm cause that might fix the...
Read moreI went to Sids pub plaza damansara for a Sunday roast lunch and what a mistake it was! First off - beef is off the menu, so the only option is chicken. This is when the nightmare starts -the chicken roast arrives at the table, its basically a chicken cut in half, straight through all the bones. As soon as I go to start eating my Girlfriend say's you cant eat that its not cooked! I look down and its raw in the centre. We call the staff over and its taken away, it comes back a few minutes later with a "I think it should be cooked now" lol! with that I decide to obviously check this, slicing through the middle and as you can guess its raw and pink again! Are they serious! how hard is it! Do they not check the food before it leaves the kitchen,or temp check it. Again we call the staff and tell them to take it away and I don"t want anything else from them. 1st time is a mistake but 2nd time is a joke! We get no apology or anything, no complimentary drink just simply not charged for that dish. And just to add what Is served as roast potatoes are actually diced fried potato not roasties! No other customers in the pub so they were not rushed off their feet busy! Plus for so called pub the Guinness tastes terrible, PLEASE learn to pour this gift from...
Read moreJust passed by as I was finding a place for lunch. While scrolling through the menu, the lady introduced me the special they had that day being Lasagna. Surprising as you wouldn't think Lasagna is the forte of a pub. Great suggestion as it was easily the best Lasagna I had so far, very balanced flavour throughout the meal with a soft bun to pair. Proper lasagna you can actually taste each individual layers eaten. With melted cheese on top, middle layers are moist and laden with meat. Unlike certain places whereby the top and bottom layers are very hard while the middle is usually dry, I enjoyed this very much. Pity it's only on Wednesdays, would be convenient if it's part of the menu so I can come during the weekends and wash it down with...
