We visited on public holidays for dinner. We had to queue for seats. However, the staff seemed to randomly picking people. People that came late got to be seated, especially family with 2-3 people. I didn't get it. they have a square table which can seat 4 person, but instead they appointed 2 people. We ordered their signature hokkien mee, char kuey tiao, blanched veggie and nam yu chicken wing. First of all, thr char kuey tiao was wet and lacked of wok hei. The signature dish, hokkien mee was a huge letdown. It had no wok hei, way too sweet and not much lard, it just tasted like normal stir fried noodles. However, service was fast. The nam yu chicken wings had the wow factor. It was very aromatic and crispy. Parking is a nightmare here. Parking at AEON, walk a few minutes to the store is the best option.

Waiting time: Though the place appeared to be packed, we were lucky that we got a table straight away. Food wise: Hokkien mee: Tasty and fragrant. Signature dish. Must try. Fried rice: Generous serving size. Fried chicken: Delicious, juicy and fragrant. Must try. Fried vegetable: Fairly typical and nothing stood out. Service: honest and experienced staff, especially the staff who took orders. Pricing: economical, given the quality of food and many service staff being around to speed things up. Atmosphere: if you like the buzz of street food, this is the right place. Three different groups of people (outsiders) went around the tables to sell their stuff, including avocado, longan and ‘keropok’. I am fine with that. Will we return: yes.

They are fast n furious. Service is point on. Frankly, food is mediocre. Portion is definitely generous, a small plate of noodles is easily a 2 pax portion. Medium would be suffice fore 3 pax sharing. If you wanna try out variety, got for small size for all noodles. Their noodles arent actually grandmaster level, probably by some random staff of apprentices level, decent but not great (given if you had great hokkien noodles before) this is just mediocre. But price n portion is definitely are plus

I’m not really mad but would like to share my unique experience with you guys . I was assigned a big table for 2 pax which I’m not really keen at first but thought of we will finish our dinner real quick so we seated in. Ordered hokkien mee and chicken wings, but the chicken wing took extra ordinarily long this time so I checked with one of the local lady staff of my order , she seem a lil bit annoyed & told me have to wait due to the crowd, and don’t worried about the order once it has been placed . wellllllllllllllllll with that attitude I don’t mind to play the waiting game 😇 where I could just cancel it and free the table to the next customer. Another 10 mins gone and my chicken wings still not in sight ,then another lady staff came approach and asked whether our order has completed (with an intention to chase us away i assume but with a better attitude ) so i told her nicely that if she could kindly help to check my order and let me know if its still a long wait please just help me to cancel it. Long story short we cancelled the order in the end. The staffs are all indeed very attentive assigning table and taking orders but perhaps dont ask them about your order 😂 cause they seem to be very confident with their ordering system.

Moral of the story: It’s simple. If you think you can’t cope with the demand, let your customer know the waiting time or it’s gonna be a long wait and they to decide whether to place order else you will get the same question all over again right until your staffs are not happy.😃 happy staffs happy customers....

I will only visit this place if no idea what to eat. Not as good as some of the foodie review. On my side of opinion, been coming continuosly 2 days in a week. Each time came here will order either hokkien mee or the Singapore bee hoon. This time will be my last visit to this place..why ? I'll tell why...tonite (11.9.2022) @ 10.30pm, I came as usual after work. The place is crowded and the only place I saw empty was the inner side towards the stairs. So, I walk in and trying to look for an empty table BT stop by a man (quite young) 30's maybe told me in Cantonese....this SECTION is CLOSED !!! out of my curiosity I asked the man, what time you close ??? He replied....1am !!!!! (In very rude tone) sit outside only la...which is the open air. I reply the man back, you can find a table for me meh ???? That time was crowded. He looks around and finally told one of the young staff to open a table for me at the corner of the inner section.. (Long story short, I finished my meal in 30min) and asked for bill. Find out that the rude man is actually boss son. He always and often talk rude to other customers also (as per one of the older aunty that work there)

With the power of the social media.please ban this place. There is many more place which is nicer and better service. I will not RETURNED ..this is the last you will earning my...

First of all, I start eating in this shop since its inception. You can’t deny the BKT shop helps raise your popularity. Now that you’re a bit famous, you set the rules that sitting indoor can’t order BKT. My honest advice, if you don’t cancel this rules quickly, that’s the beginning of the end for your shop. I’ve seen many shops that become arrogant once they’re just a bit well known, and all of them have the same ending. Not to say customer is king, but I can say everyone is annoyed by this rule change. See how China restaurant do everything to try to make customer happy in this challenging and competitive environment, but you’re doing the exact opposite. A heartfelt advice from me who doesn’t want to see you have a sad ending. Trust me, once customer gone, they’re never coming back and their words around will be more powerful than...
