One of the worst experiences and food was served cold. Tasted average. Daylight robbery with the price and quantity. So called banana leaf set but no refill sides and only rice is refillable. How it's banana leaf without refills? If it's named as Thali set then i would understand if there are no refillls. 6 Pani puri RM15 is ridiculous and tasted below average. I wonder if the owner/manager tasted the food there. Chicken briyani was purely tasteless and dry. A single Tea priced at RM5 is ridiculous for the cold-served tea and quantity. The music was just so loud and flys all over and the kitchen looked so dirty. And the lady at the counter must be going through something that she's with a sour face the whole time.
Followup: Thanks for letting me know that the banana leaf set does include refills but according to Bala (hope I get the name right), when I asked, he stenrly informed that only rice is refillable and not the sides, and I'm not referring to the proteins (fish, squid and etc), it's understandable if proteins are not refillable but vegs should be. And to my surprise you are not addressing the hygiene issue that I mentioned in my feedback. Anyways, thanks for your reply and invitation, but I would like to pass it and do not wish to return to the restaurant but it would be good if changes are made and mistakes rectified.
Followup #2 I have confirmed with my sister who is a frequent to your restaurant, that the waiter said the vegs are not refillable is BALA. Also, he has poor customer service traits, when I politely asked if the vegs were refillable, he rudely said, it's not refillable here in Teekaapi for banana leaf set.
Followup #3 we might have gotten the name wrongly but we did check with the guy without the head protector and addressed him as Bala and he did acknowledge and mentioned no refills with rude tone. Anyway, doesn't matter if it's Bala or anyone else. The person doesn't have a proper understanding about your refill policy for the Banana leaf set, or that vegs are reliable. Read moreThis is my honest review after watching the rasika-rusika programme in astro. We waited in the restaurant for 20m for the Table.
Once we got the table, we had to wait for another 5-10 minutes for ppl to come and clean it which i think is due to lack of man power. Based on our observation, there were only 3 workers.
Then came a waiter who took our order, without taking note on our menus.
We had to repeat our orders to 3x to 3 different workers because we were waiting about 20 minutes for our food. The workers did inform us that it will take a long time. Therefore, we agreed to wait. People kept coming and many of them were waiting for food.
After 20 minutes, we were served with the food but one of our orders did not turn up. We had to inform and remind them again about the dish was left out.
The chicken briyani and vegetarian briyani were good.... nandu rasam was awesome 8/10. Tea n coffee were good but not reasonable just for a small tumbler like that. Crab masala 5/10.
We also ordered mix vegetable... which was only cabbage and brinjal mix perratal which was totally out of our expectation. We asked the waiter,and he said that is their mix vege and their vege is different every day. So please ask b4 you order to avoid disappointments.
The volcano prawn which arrived after 20 minutes disappointed us because it was totally out of our expectation of what we watchedin raasika rusika. It was soaking n floating in oil with heavy masala taste which made it bitter. Therefore, we returned back the volcano prawn and adjusted with what we had ordered.
My pieceof advice :Please do not believe what you see in the programme. There were good things but also bad things. Hope the restaurant management will provide more manpower as some customers kept leaving and the food takes a long time to be prepared before being served....
Read moreI'm a person that believe in improvement,as first visit to this shop after hearing mix reviews from family and friends.
First the environment,shop are well decorated Just few improvement need to done on furniture because the table are not balance and shacking (the first on we sit). We manage to change to different table later on.
Price for the food are well stated clearly in the menu,so I'm know about the range. Just the item on the menus not very clear such as prawn Briyani,food potion for single order...if they put clear pictures on menu will be much better.
I went there with my family members,3 of us adult and 1 toddler.
We order 3 Briyani set
Chicken Briyani are usual,dry taste not much different compare to other Briyani shop in KL. (Expectations are to get very nice flavor with ghee and not very dry type of Briyani)
Prawn are same as chicken too... just(the waiters need to tell how many prawn customer gonna get)..the menu don't show any pictures Example when taking order just let the customer know there will be 4 or 5 pcs of prawn.because some time people will went there with big appetite and will get disappointed after order.
Mutton biryani was good actually The mutton piece also okay. Nice smell and delicious.
The improvement I think they need to do are 1.let the customer know how long they need to wait for the food to arrive (on peak hours) 2.let the customer know detail of food such as saiz and quantity. 3.interior can be improved with more words display(waiting time for food can be easy if the interior are much better)
Overall it's good time.
