I ordered daging kicap from Tiga Budak Gemok on Shopee Food, expecting a decent portion based on their fancy, misleading advertisement photo claiming it’s enough for 2-3 people. But what I received was nowhere near that – a tiny portion that looked like it couldn’t even satisfy one person properly, let alone feed a small group.
Thinking this had to be a mistake, I contacted the shop to sort it out. They asked me to take photos and send them over, so I did. After that, getting a response from them was like pulling teeth. I called multiple times, only to be told that this tiny portion was “normal” and within their SOP at 280g – a detail conveniently missing from their product description. They gave the typical "we’ll take note" response, which honestly feels like a lazy attempt to brush off customer complaints without any real intention of change.
I also discovered that I’m not the only customer who’s experienced this. Another customer shared the same issue – ordered expecting a large portion, only to get a small amount that doesn’t reflect the ad. If multiple people are noticing this problem, it’s clear that the misleading portions are no accident.
It’s 2024, and misleading customers with exaggerated photos isn’t just bad practice; it’s downright dishonest. If Tiga Budak Gemok wants to keep customers, they need to start by being transparent. Put the real portion size in the description, or use realistic photos. This kind of bait-and-switch advertising might work once, but don’t expect repeat business if you keep trying to...
Read moreDear restaurant owner, please take note.
I feel compelled to share my recent experience at your establishment. While the food served at your restaurant is undeniably delicious, I regret to inform you that the service provided by your staff at this outlet falls far short of expectations.
Earlier today, at precisely 13:19, I placed an order for takeaway food. Your part-timer assured me that it would be ready within 15 minutes. However, upon returning after 20 minutes, I was informed that it would take an additional 10 minutes. Perplexed, I patiently waited and returned once more, only to be told that it would now take an extra 15 minutes.
Naturally, I expressed my frustration. What was initially a 15-minute wait had ballooned into a much longer ordeal. To my surprise, your staff explained that the initial extra 10 minutes were solely for the chicken preparation, and an additional 15 minutes were needed for the Lala dish. Such miscommunication and inefficiency are unacceptable.
Regrettably, my order was finally ready at 14:10—nearly one hour beyond the promised 15 minutes. As a customer, I implore you to ensure that your staff receives proper training and adheres to a higher standard of professionalism. Time is valuable, and it should not be needlessly wasted due to poor service.
Sincerely, A...

Overall the food was 👌. The ketchup masak ayam was good. The ketchup masak daging was cooked with the same sauce as the 🐔. Poor meat cut...alot of tendons and too small. The tempeh was a disaster...Fried tempeh coated with flour, by the time you eat at home....soggy. The so called🌶 power in video is different from actual...no power. Will I go back again....yes...but only for the chicken. By the way the eggs wasn't in...
