We waited 1h to get drinks and 30 more mn to get the food wich was good, but the rice was totally hard. Too old or overcooked I think. Food is also a little overpriced. The owner is very kind but when we made her notice the table next to us arrived after us and still was served (long) before us, she told us they come often so kitchen already know what they want and cook for them immedialty. That is not normal. We arrived first we should get served first. Also when I asked her what happenned for the food being so long, she told me it normal, everywhere is the same, here is not KFC we cook the food... Auntie, I can tell you this is really not normal. We ate in a lot of different restaurant in Langkawi, never need to wait so long, and in my life I could not tell how many I tried. In my whole life I only waited like this two or three times... And I can tell you if I had been on my own I would have cancel and leave. You have a big issue with organisation and you are really under too much pressure running everywhere. Your chef should not be the one who do the service. You need more people to work for you, or...
Read moreThis is a rustic little old restaurant that has seen better days. Despite that, they have pulled thru the pandemic and still delivering good food. Dont let the old place scare you off. And ignore the older reviews (I'm reviewing this right now in August 2022).
We ordered the seaweed soup, steamed eggs, stir fried pea shoots, guiness deep fried chicken and salted egg squid.
All were delivered within 20 minutes of ordering.
All was cooked fresh to order.
Most of the dishes were around RM15-25 only.
I'd say the food was delish after a long day of suntanning by the pool and eating overpriced hotel food.
So give them a go, and dont expect any sort of fine dining type of experience. Just come here and expect decent homecooked chinese style food.
If you're in a rush - just ask them if the food will be long.
Manage your expectations and you'll have a great...
Read moreStay in langkawi for a week in 2 different resorts. This place are exactly in front of my 1st stay resort in langkawi. We arrived at the resort pretty late around 11pm. And we are pretty hungry. We walk to this place were about to close and we begin to the owner if they could make something simple for our late dinner. And they were so nice let us eat something simple from them. It was fried rice and home made drychilli tofu. And super good. We decided we will comeback while we in Langkawi. And yes we do visit again twice. We try different dishes they have. And i guarantee they make all in the menu super good. Im not really do this google review but this place deserves 5star reviews. I have salt egg squid. Butter shrimp. Chicken black pepper. Sambal kang Kong. Deep fried tofu home made. All of them insanely good. Super good with fair price...
