This was my first time trying their bah kuh teh, and it’s freaking awesome 🙌🏻 the best I had so far. There were 3 of us, and we ordered 4 different bowls-3 chef’s recommendations and 1 bah kuh teh. Initially, the boss was super nice and told us 2 bowls would be enough, but, tasted too good, we ended up ordering another 2 more and topped up the soup twice! I also wanted to share a really touching moment. When my mom asked for warm water, the older uncle (maybe the owner?) serving us asked if it was for medicine or regular drinking. He explained that he will provide warm water at the appropriate temperature for medicine. My mom was impressed by his thoughtful care, as she did need it for her medicine. Thanks uncle! We had a great meal there. my parents couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. There’s some room for improvement with the yam rice and fried dough sticks, but keep up the great work and continue delighting your customers. Wishing you all the best!

This is one of the popular place for bakuteh at Melaka. It is located at Melaka Raya, near Mahkota parade. It is usually full with customers, and you would have to wait for table, and wait to be served. To be honest, the service is terrible..May be we went during peak hours. There was not enough staff to even clear and clean the table. You also need to wait to order, and the staffs appeared to be family members, mostly elderly. After that you have to wait another 30mins for your foods to be served. But worth the wait, as the bakuteh did not disappoint us. It is very tasty, both soup and dry bakuteh. I suggest you go during non peak hours like after 1.30pm or early before 10am Taste : 4 stars Service : 1 star Price : 3 stars Ambience : 3 stars Hygiene : 3 stars Overall : 3 stars Will I visit again? Probably yes

🕛 Went at noon, it was so packed it took us some time to find a table (also taking into account we had 7 people). The place does not have air con. Placing order and everything was a little confusing. They were so busy that we had to take the drinks front he fridge ourselves (or maybe we are supposed to do that). 🥓 Honeslty I can't remember much about the taste of what I ate, I mean, It's almost 2 years since I was there. But I had Yam rice for the first time, didn't taste as good as I thought it will be, just normal, it wasn't fragrant either. The soup was a herbal one if I am not wrong, but I prefer pepper type so maybe that's why I did not dnt have much impression. 🔥 Probably will not go back again, I mean... Melaka is the kind of place where you visit once is enough so...

With no visible signboard or direction poster, the place is a bit hard to locate. There was also no menu on the table nor was it visibly displayed on the wall for the customer to check the available food items and their prices. However In recent years, they have upgraded with the friendly auntie going around taking your order in an ipad, explaining to the customers what are the available food items, but only inform them the prices if they ask. Overall I have enjoyed the " old style" taste of their soup base which you can ask the staff to help you refill. However do note that if you order a pot of tea, the hot water refill has to self-service as shown in one of my photo

If you're a fan of Bah Kut Teh, Teo Chew Bah Kut Teh Melaka is a must-visit! The broth here is rich and flavorful, with just the right balance of spices and herbs. The tender pork ribs are cooked to perfection, falling off the bone and soaking up all the delicious flavors of the soup. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, making it a great place to enjoy a hearty meal. The service is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. If you're in Melaka and craving some authentic Teo Chew-style Bah Kut Teh, this spot is definitely worth checking out!

Tasty traditional BKT that is not too black soup nor the slimy type. Just the way I like mine. Service was fast n they were not stingy with garlic n chilli. Some place will serve u the garlic n chilli n thereafter takes it away b4 u finish your meal. The pork rib was very meaty and drops off the bone. Yam rice was good with presence of yam in the rice. Big bowl served. Will certainly come again. I ordered for 3 person portions as I was afraid insufficient for 2. But has more than enough till a bit bloated. Great after meal feeling when it’s tasty with positive experience 👍👍👍
