Salam & Good day.. i dun normally write reviews but I tink for this place is necessary.. this i just my honest opinion n based on my own experience just yesterday.. we went to the place and yes the were crowds but we manage to get seats and began choosing the dishes.. however, sorry to comment the food is nothing to impress since the asam pedas was very spicy as well as the other ikan bakar sauce and telur ikan sauce dish.. to my surprise no other asam pedas available like the common ikan pari, ikan merah, jenahak n etc. Only ikan kembung, siakap, bawal emas n tnggiri jek ada.. besides that, with too spicy dishes, the place is without aircond and the fans is only the small fans hanging on th ceiling, the spotlights added more heat to the environment and not at all convenience... i even went to stand behind/near the payment counter (lepas mkn berpeluh2) where there is a fan directed personally to the cashier alone (perkerja situ pun tau panas kan).. i dun mine paying as long as the food is something to be repeated in future or something we gonna miss about.. but, for ths place, the price doesnt match the quality of food i expected.. i can gv good remarks only for the daging masak kicap the nescafe ice.. s i mention earlier, this is my honest persona opinion, i dunno about others, but for me n fmly perhaps this wud b our 1st last visit to...

My recent visit to this much-hyped eatery was a mixed experience. The standout dish was the lemak curry, which impressed with its rich texture and perfect spice blend. This dish exemplified the chef's skill in combining traditional ingredients to produce a flavor that was both authentic and contemporary.
Other dishes, however, didn't quite meet the same standard. They were decent but lacked the memorable flavors and complexity of the lemak curry. While not poorly prepared, they missed that special touch that elevates a dish.
Price-wise, the restaurant is reasonably priced, particularly considering the portion sizes ideal for sharing. This makes it a good choice for group dining. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with a decor that matches the culinary theme. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.
In summary, the restaurant offers a decent dining experience at a fair price, particularly with its lemak curry. However, for those seeking a culinary adventure, it may not fully meet expectations. A few improvements to the menu could elevate the overall experience, aligning it more closely with...
Read moreIf you are a true Asam Pedas afficionado and not just a courious mat salleh tourist, this Asam Pedas restaurant is seriously underwhelming.
Went there last week with the missus, ordered Asam Pedas Ikan Kembong, lala masak pedas, telur dadar and some leafy vegetables. Customer are supposed to take dishes by using talam and then brought the talam to their table whereby a waiter will come and calculate the total prices while taking orders for drink.
The Asam Pedas we tasted was too oily and spicy while seriously lacking in taste and the sweet and sourness of asam pedas. Lala is plenty but also lacks taste. Service is undoubtedly fast and the choice of food and dishes is very wide typical like that of nasi campur stall.
This asam pedas restaurant is the most famous asam pedas stall in the whole of Melaka, true enough and the price reflect that fact. You can still come here to see what the hype is but a single...
