My first impression of this restaurant was not that good because, when I arrived, there were way too many people and the parking lots were hard to get. We had to go around several times before getting one. When we stepped into the restaurant, the place was packed with people and there was a long queue. We had to wait for other customers to finish eating while half of us start eating. But the food were not disappointing. The asam pedas, daging goreng, sotong sambal and daging masak lemak cili api were the best. I just wish all the dishes were still hot. However, it was understandable since it was buffet style. The staff were helpful and the ordering process was quite smooth except for the app to order drink (too slow!) Overall, it was a good lunch.

Friends review My recent visit to this much-hyped eatery was a mixed experience. The standout dish was the lemak curry, which impressed with its rich texture and perfect spice blend. This dish exemplified the chef's skill in combining traditional ingredients to produce a flavor that was both authentic and contemporary. Other dishes, however, didn't quite meet the same standard. They were decent but lacked the memorable flavors and complexity of the lemak curry. While not poorly prepared, they missed that special touch that elevates a dish. Price-wise, the restaurant is reasonably priced, particularly considering the portion sizes ideal for sharing. This makes it a good choice for group dining. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with a decor that matches the culinary theme. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. In summary, the restaurant offers a decent dining experience at a fair price, particularly with its lemak curry. However, for those seeking a culinary adventure, it may not fully meet expectations. A few improvements to the menu could elevate the overall experience, aligning it more closely with its reputation.

If you are a true Asam Pedas afficionado and not just a courious mat salleh tourist, this Asam Pedas restaurant is seriously underwhelming. Went there last week with the missus, ordered Asam Pedas Ikan Kembong, lala masak pedas, telur dadar and some leafy vegetables. Customer are supposed to take dishes by using talam and then brought the talam to their table whereby a waiter will come and calculate the total prices while taking orders for drink. The Asam Pedas we tasted was too oily and spicy while seriously lacking in taste and the sweet and sourness of asam pedas. Lala is plenty but also lacks taste. Service is undoubtedly fast and the choice of food and dishes is very wide typical like that of nasi campur stall. This asam pedas restaurant is the most famous asam pedas stall in the whole of Melaka, true enough and the price reflect that fact. You can still come here to see what the hype is but a single visit is suffice.

My family and I came here during the weekend. Quite a long queue but still able to find a seat. The dishes are delicious. The main problem is the rice is hard and dry. I believe they cooked the rice not long enough or not enough water. It's very tough to enjoy our food if the main component is almost non-edible. The service was alright. It's a self-service restaurant. The atmosphere is also alright. There are just too many people inside this small space. Overall, for me, it's not worth it to come here. The price is too expensive for the Asam Pedas dishes. There is another place that can serve a better Asam Pedas menu with an affordable and reasonable price. So, this is probably the first and last time I will come to this restaurant.

all of this costs RM115.65 include service tax RM5.87. The place is just a normal restaurant nothing special. there are variety of lauk pauk u can choose. but the thing is i cant brain the price since they charge 1 slice of ikan pari asam pedas for RM12. and 1 slice of ikan tenggiri asam pedas for RM15, and they cut them smaller than my palm. plus the dishes is not freshly cooked, they put the lauk pauk in plates and put on the counter for customer to pick. but still... the taste, the service, do not worth the price. suggest u to go to another restaurant. pls dont go here, otherwise u guys love spending ur money and the food reach ur taste bud, u are pleased to go here 😆

One of famoust and best lunch place located in heart of Malacca. The variety of menus here became attractions for customers that love to eat local dishes especially the signature Asam Pedas. Tastewise were very consistent as I had been to this place multiple times when visiting Malacca even on weekday the table are full with customers dining in. Some dish like Udang Galah is bit overpriced in my opinion. One downside when dining in some of dishes are cold and I prefer to be warm at least. Asam pedas tetel was tender and flavorful. Parking spaces are ample and full when peak seasons. Local attractions and shopping malls were also nearby to this restaurant.
