One of the best Nyonya restaurants in Melaka, if not Malaysia. They have 4 branches and we went to the Melaka Raya one, nearest to Dataran Pahlawan. The line was long outside but there’s a good system. They don’t take reservations. You take a number and they do their best to get you a table. We were 038 in queue. If you’re a smaller group of 2 to 4, your chances are higher to get your table quicker. We got ours within 5 minutes because it’s just me and my wife. The menu is pretty extensive and we wanted to order half of what they had to offer. And I think the waitress noticed that we were “struggling” so she came to help us out. Balkis patiently went from page to page asking us what we really liked and ordered according to how much she thought we could stomach. When the food touched our taste buds, we just went “Wow”, “Wow” and “Wow”. I think we even went “Wow” backwards for one of the dishes (it could have been the otak-otak). The food came really quickly too (I think it was under 10 minutes or less), served by friendly waiters, like Tirah… who also took time to explain to us the history and development of the restaurant. It was the most pleasant experience for us… especially memorable as we’re celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and my 55th birthday! Thank you Atlantis!

🌺✨ First Nonya Feast – A Spicy Rollercoaster Ride! ✨🌺 As a wide-eyed tourist on a mission to taste the soul of Peranakan cuisine, I wandered into this Nonya restaurant with high hopes and an appetite to match. The menu read like a poetic spellbook of Southeast Asian treasures—and I was ready for magic. We set our sights on the legendary Ayam Buah Keluak, Assam Fish, Pandan Leaf-Wrapped Chicken, and Batter-Fried Sotong. But alas! 💔 The elusive Ayam Buah Keluak had vanished into the tummies of earlier diners. A tragedy on the scale of Shakespeare, if you ask me. The Assam Fish, though, swooped in to save the day! 🍛🐟 It was ultra-fresh, tangy in all the right ways, with a kick of tamarind that danced like fireworks on the tongue. Worth the market price? You bet your sambal it was! Now for the plot twist: the Pandan Chicken. Wrapped in all the right packaging but lacking the soulful oomph I was craving. Flavor? A little too shy for the party. 😕 The batter-fried sotong? A crispy joyride—thankfully Final verdict? 🌶️ A culinary adventure with highs and lows—but hey, every great story has a bit of drama. Would I return? Yes, with fingers crossed for the Ayam Buah Keluak!

Totally not worth it. Ordered ponteh ayam and udang lemak nanas. Ordered "ulam bendi" it's a ladyfinger with belacan. Also, wanted their pineapple rice and Pandan rice. BOTH were unavailable even though it was already lunch time, around 12:15pm on a weekday. Ponteh ayam was damn salty. Tasted like it cooked in large batches, frozen, and heated up for customers. Very salty. Found a piece of plastic inside too. Hence, it wasn't charged to the bill. Udang lemak nanas. Taste was average. Had better in other shops, also better in other states. A shame to baba nyonya food. The ulam bendi taste was okay. The ladyfinger itself was quite old and hard. Another thing is the chef in the kitchen cooking with loudass banging music and still the food took a long time to be served even though with very little customers - about 3 tables occupied. Ordered nyonya cendol too. FINALLY something that tasted good. But portion was too small for about RM6.80. PRICE. Price definitely overpriced. Not worth it. Portion was quite small too. Not in par with it's price. Again, a shame to nyonya food. What an embarrassment for lunch in Malacca.

Regrettably, our overall experience at this restaurant fell disappointingly short. Despite its impressive 4.7 Google rating and renowned status as one of the highest-rated Nyonya establishments in Malacca, our visit left much to be desired.

The initial excitement we felt upon arrival gradually dissipated as the dishes were served with noticeable delays, significantly disrupting the natural flow of our meal. While some variation in serving times is to be expected, the inconsistency we experienced in comparison to other tables was undeniably frustrating.

Adding to our dissatisfaction, the pricing was on the higher side, and the diminutive portion sizes did not align with the cost. Despite spending a total of RM200+ for the four of us, we did not feel satisfied nor full.

A notable concern emerged with the fish dish, as the weight stated on the receipt differed significantly from the actual serving. Despite seeking clarification from the owner, who insisted that frying would make the fish shrink (even though we had ordered steamed fish), the discrepancy remained unresolved. Although the owner adjusted the receipt by subtracting 100g, the actual size still fell short of what we were charged. In hindsight, I had come across similar situations from other reviews online regarding the questionable weight of the fish before visiting.

To compound our disappointment, several menu highlights, including the signature pineapple fried rice and pai tee, were unexpectedly sold out, even though we were among the first few tables to arrive. The overall quality of the food was mediocre at best, and having experienced better Nyonya cuisine in KL, it left us questioning the worth of traveling all the way from KL to Malacca for this dining experience.

In conclusion, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this restaurant for a satisfying dining...

If there’s a way to experience the soul of Peranakan cuisine, this restaurant nails it. Our party of two adults and two kids embarked on a culinary adventure, ordering 11 dishes and we polished off every last bite. The flavors were bold, authentic, and utterly satisfying, proving why Nyonya food remains a Melaka treasure.

Standout Dishes:

Rendang Chicken: Tender, succulent, and steeped in aromatic spices, this dish was a masterclass in balance—rich but not overpowering, with a caramelized depth that had us fighting for the last morsel. Fish Otah: Soft, and packed with fragrant lemongrass and chili, this fish paste was a textural delight—moist, flavorful, and perfectly charred. Ngor Hiang: Crispy on the outside, juicy within, these fried five-spice pork rolls were addictive. The kids couldn’t get enough, and neither could we!

The rest of the spread—from the tangy ladies fingers to Chendol —held its own, with no weak links in sight. Portions were generous yet manageable, and the use of fresh ingredients shone through in every bite.

Service & Ambiance: The staff were warm and attentive, offering thoughtful recommendations without hovering. The dining space blended traditional Nyonya decor with modern comfort—think vibrant Peranakan tiles, wooden accents, and airy seating—making it ideal for families or casual gatherings.

Value for Money: Given the quality and quantity, prices felt fair. A feast of this caliber (with leftovers almost impossible) won’t break the bank, which is rare for such well-executed heritage dishes.

Final Verdict: This spot is a must-visit for anyone craving an authentic, hearty Nyonya meal in Melaka. Whether you’re a local or a traveler, it delivers on taste, ambiance, and hospitality. 4.5/5 - we’ll be back to tackle the menu...

Went here for lunch. Theres a long queue but we still want to eat here to try it out.

The taste is very good. Very delicious. For those people who wanted to know how it taste, its worth it.

What I DISLIKE is the service. The one who took our orders (only me & my wife), his name is RAFIZ (from receipt) misinformed us. Ikan jenahak costs abt RM13/gram.. before placing the order, I ask the guy how much gram is okay for 2 person. He said that they do have 400gram fish suitable for 2 person. Of course, after hearing it, I agree to order the fish.

Then, after submitting the order, they have something like a receipt stating what we ordered together with the price. I am shocked to see that the fish that we ordered was 800gram 🤌🏻. I immediately called the guy, and said that "I thought you said it was 400gram??". He replied, "Eh no la. I said 800gram". Me & my wife swear that he said 400gram, otherwise we wouldnt agree to order it, then we decided to cancel it, since it havent been that long time anyway. A supervisor came and confirm if we wanna cancel, then proceed to ask the kitchen. Coming back, she said that cannot cancel anymore due to the fish has just start cooking. I felt disappointed, its been only a few mins. Turns out that, the fish took a very long time just to be served at our table. So what is "the fish has just start cooking???"

I beg them to cancel, but they dont allow. So, I just had to pay. Very disappointed with the staff. So much disappointment for this store with high reputation. Had to bring back the fish leftover. Couldnt finish it with...
