This is a great place for a quick and tasty breakfast. Options were plentiful and service was impressive.
Atmosphere wise it has this old school kopitiam aesthetic, with old songs and decor. Quite soothing on the eyes.
Service was great! The ordering system could be a bit confusing to new customers though. You have to take your economy noodles at the counter, along with your toppings of choice, and order other stuff like fried rice, coffee, eggs, bread etc. at the counter, which then goes straight to your table. Kinda confusing at first but it gets better after the first few attempts. The highlight is when we ordered the Tonyam Fried Rice (RM6, serves one) we found it to be way too salty for our taste, and when we presented our complaint to the waiter, she took it back to the kitchen and shortly afterwards the chef explained to me that it was the way Malaccans enjoyed it, and offered to refund it or change it to a regular Fried Rice. This attitude with this sincerity and hospitality are not even to be found at high end restaurants! This must be praised and I hope this brings them good karma and luck.
Below are summaries of the food we ate:
Pork and cheese burger (RM6.5/each) juicy and very tasty. 8/10
Fried rice. Standard cafe/canteen fried rice. Fragrant and golden. 8/10
Economic beehoon/ mee (RM1 for noodles and RM1 for each subsequent topping). Very affordable and filling course. Toppings were of quality too. Nuggets, fuchuk, fried eggs, fishballs etc. 7/10
Butter chicken rice (RM7 with egg). Amazing, creamy and delicious. Highly recommend. 10/10
Half boiled eggs (RM1.5/each). Very pretty sunset yolks. 8/10
Kopi, Milo (RM1 hot, RM1.5 cold). Cheap refreshments that do not discount on flavour. 7/10

Read moreI recently visited this kopitiam that is famous for their RM1 food. While the prices were advertised as RM1, I found that every single dish we ordered was priced at RM1, making it quite expensive. Some of the workers were unfriendly and even rude, which detracted from the experience. However, I did notice that not all of the workers were like this. The owner seemed busy but not necessarily unfriendly, though they didn't seem to prioritize customer service as we waited for a table. The food wasn't prepared with great hygiene practices as some of the workers didn't wear masks or gloves. The drinks were mostly premix and not very tasty. Overall, my experience was mixed, but I think there is room for improvement in terms of customer service and...

I was impressed by the price tag of the menu, which is something you can hardly find anywhere else in Malaysia nowadays. There are plenty of choices available, making it easy to find something that suits your taste.
While the portion sizes aren’t large, it’s completely understandable given the low prices, and there’s really nothing to complain about. The overall taste was good, and the service was pleasant too, which added to the experience.
The only drawback is the location—it’s quite remote and far from the city centre. Still, if you don’t mind the distance, this little spot offers a nostalgic, budget-friendly breakfast...
