had the pleasure to dine in for dinner with my family and the experience was simply underwhelming.
we ordered a lot of food and at the time, there weren’t many customers yet. we picked our own ikan siakap, udang, kerang & sotong. we add on tomyam campur & daging kunyit
the kerang is the best dish out of all, no fishy taste nor smell. kerang seems like it was washed clean. tomyam campur is nice, not too watery & had a nice kick to it. daging kunyit is salty, must be eaten with rice. sotong goreng tepung was good, crunchy & flavourful.
however, the waiter came to our table twice, the first time is to inform us 1) the fish we chose had accidentally been fried and that 2) do we still want steam lemon or change to another dish. so we said we still want the steam lemon. after 15 mins, another staff came and said that 1) our prawns had been fried and 2) do we still want the same dish or change to a diff dish.
we waited for a while as they “re-cooked” our ikan siakap & udang. to our surprise, the staffs actually WASHED OFF (bilas) the ikan siakap ! not only there is soggy fried fish in the steam lemon, the fish doesn’t taste like the usual steam lemon bcs the fish is already cooked in oil ! then, the udang sambal came, and the udang is extremely dry. sambal is also not up to our liking.
this ruined our mood as we were starving & tired from the drive so we ate & finish it anyway. mind you, there’s not a lot of restaurants open at night in lukut.
for 4 adults, the total price is around RM350. Fyi, we did inform the cashier on this & the lady gave us a 10% discount. You judge for yourself whether the restaurant is...

If you're craving for authentic Ikan Bakar while you're in Port Dickson... Your search ends here.
This place is so popular/good... That they have literal gates to keep people out when they're full.
We had the Ikan Merah(Red Snapper) Bakar Sambal and it was sublime. The fish was grilled to perfection. With a crisp and smokey skin but such tender and juicy meat.
It wasn't drowning in Sambal so you could actually taste the fish.
But 1 fish wasn't enough, so we also had the Siakap(Sea Bass) bakar sambal... Siakap is a more common fish but it's usually steamed. Our Siakap was likewise, done perfectly.
The other side dishes and vegetables that accompanied our meal were standard fare. Nothing to shout about, but we really enjoyed the jug of Teh O Ais Limau Kosong. It was wonderfully refreshing and the perfect drink to quench our thirst...
Read moreTrusted Google reviews which seems best ikan bakar in town, however it was a worst experience as we waited 1 hour + for the food we ordered! Although we told 3 waiters, no action to be taken. We came in with elderly & 2 toddlers as well. The ikan bakar was not served hot as it was left in the kitchen long time already. We never got the Udang & kangkung as well! We was told to handpick the ikan & udang, and then they will cook n serve. It became a big turnoff as we waited so long in hunger & food served was already cold. Also we felt it was kinda racist as new customers next table came after us, ordered, ate and left!! If your priority is for on particular race, you should mention clearly! The final blow was the bill amount, which to our suprise - the ikan pari bakar only, medium sized was charged RM92... Highly Not Recommended... Huge...
