Hidden gem in the heart of Bentong!
Ginger Heritage is a llittle cafe located right in the Bentong town center. A perfect stop if you're heading back to the highway after visiting Bentong Farm. Parking is convenient with plenty of spaces both in front and behind the cafe.
The service here is warm and welcoming. The owner was friendly and took the time to explain their signature ginger detox shots, even offering us a free sample. It was so good we ended up getting a full-sized bottle!
Food-wise, the kimchi fried rice was a standout. Generous portions of well-fermented kimchi made it one of the best versions I’ve tasted in Malaysia. The drinks were decent. I had the Vietnamese drip coffee with ginger cream (an interesting twist), and my kid enjoyed the ginger boba milk tea.
The cafe is clean, cozy, and well-maintained including the toilet, which is a plus.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Bentong or just passing through. Great food, great vibes, and that ginger detox shot alone makes...
Read moreStopped by Ginger Heritage in Bentong and left thoroughly impressed. The British India Curry Chicken Pie (M01) arrived piping hot with buttery-flaky pastry and a deeply aromatic Southern-Indian curry filling—comforting yet refined. The Three Ginger Rice (M02) was a show-stopper: turmeric-hued rice, galangal rendang chicken and tangy ginger acar that balanced richness with zing.
Desserts kept the ginger theme playful. The Thai-style Sangkaya Fak Thong (001) pumpkin custard came draped in a silky ginger sauce—sweet, earthy and just spicy enough. The Ginger Choux (002) was light, airy and filled with a pleasantly warming cream. Washed everything down with their signature Ginger Tonic (D01)—a fizzy pick-me-up that cut through the meal perfectly.
Portions are generous, prices fair, and the staff greet you like old friends. If you’re exploring Bentong and want a creative twist on local flavours (with plenty of ginger love), this spot...
Read moreWe had our lunch here trying their Three ginger rice curry chicken and the Kim Chi fried rice. Both the meals were delicious and their portions were good. The curry chicken (one quarter) was more like the nyonya kapitan chicken which was very flavorful but not too spicy and yet tender. The Kim Chi fried rice was very uniquely tasty according to my daughter and wife. We tried their desserts, Ginger Crème Brulee and Ginger Choux. The Ginger Crème Brulee has a subtle tinge of ginger but the content texture of the custard is excellently smooth and creamy. Would love to have a more hardened camarelised topping. The Ginger Choux is superb, crispy on the outside and rich creamy custard on the inside...truly yummy. Bought 5 pieces free one at RM3 per piece such a bargain. I would rather eat this than an egg tart. Chatted with the friendly owner, will definitely go back to try the...
