Stayed in this hotel for a night recently. It is a 45 plus room hotel occupying five floors of a building in a corner of a fairly busy area. From the outside, the hotel looks old and in need of a fresh coat of paint. But from the inside, it is a totally different and nice story. Most of the ground floor is occupied by a pharmacy and a small part is the front desk of this hotel.||The check in was smooth and hassle free. The room was unusual in size but fairly big and with a spacious, clean and well appointed toilet. The towels we were given were big, cotton towels that were white and looked new and clean.||The room was clean and it had two bottles of water, tea & coffee making facilities, a tv and a hairdryer too. ||It has no restaurant and so we had our breakfast somewhere nearby.||Three minus points: there is no private parking facility for this hotel and I had to park in a parking slot and pay the fee except on Saturdays; the entry to the street leading to the hotel gets blocked at night because a few restaurants placed tables and chairs on the street thereby inconveniencing visitors;the sound proofing was pretty poor. .......we could hear the sounds of traffic from the street below and we were on...
Read moreI was staying this hotel for more than 3 times. I was about to give up staying this hotel due to poor facilities (Last time) and trying to stay in some other boutique hotels but fate is fate. I give this hotel last chance and I didn't regret on it.
NEWLY RENOVATED ROOM and BATHROOM.
Room is big, clean, and air-conditional is very cold. The hotel location is too nice and surround by pharmacy (next door), food place, mart, bus station and other retail shop as well.
The price for 2 pax is less than RM100 which is really affordable for us. But I booked two rooms.
Cons: I stay there on Saturday Night and my view is facing north (Not facing KFC) and feel like Skrillex visiting the night club and having butterfly effect when sleeping at late night.
No breakfast included, but not an issue for us coz we rather walk for 3 minuted to have the dim sum out there.
Water pressure issue? not a big deal for me because the water heater come with water pump function.
Parking, limited space on public area and don't park under the trees at night because u might need to visit car wash shop after check-out :-)
P/S: I slept very well during my visit and my car is very clean and...
Read moreI'm very particular about hotels and accommodation.
But upon arriving in Bentong, I told myself not to fuss too much. Its a small town after all.
But Kristal was better than I expected.
Location, right beside the market n coffee shops. I loved it.
Room, clean, spacious, and well laid out.
Toilet was well laid out too, with shower area blocked away by a small screen so as to not wet the WC side too much. Water pressure n water drainage was perfect.
AC was cold enough n quiet. (We stayed 3rd floor)
Lobby area nice n tasteful.
Using public car parking areas, but hotel will provide a few parking vouchers in the morning to shield you from getting a ticket during the peak checking times.
Only setback I felt was the walkway from lift to the room. It was very hollow n echoing. Guests talking/closing room doors can be heard loudly from inside the room.
Other than that, it was quite decent n good. Just remb, this is Bentong, so be a bit more forgiving.... ( surprise that even hair dryer...
