文東龍鳳酒樓 Bentong Loong Foong Restaurant — Restaurant in Pahang

Dragon Phoenix Restaurant is one of the longest running old establishments in this popular town of Bentong, about one hour or so drive from KL. Due to the popularity of this town among tourists, many business thrived and on any given weekend that you come here.. you will experience high traffic.

◾Deep fried tilapia with ginger and spring onion - love the balanced flavour of this dish and how it was presented ◾Black pepper pork intestines - black pepper was quite strong but didn't over-power the whole dish. The only drawback was that the intestines could use a little bit more wash to get rid of the smell. ◾Dry style (Kon cheen) pork belly with eggplant - my favourite of the whole lot. The eggplants had absorbed the sweetness of the sauce with each and every piece of pork belly was covered with the same sauce too.

Had lunch there today. We were sitting in the middle of a wedding so was pretty lively. Food was really excellent. We didn't try to reinvent the wheel and just followed whatever other people were suggesting in their various reviews: the steamed chicken with the so yummy ginger sauce, the kou rou (pork belly simmered for hours until it melts in your mouth like butter), the salted egg yolk fried beans and the taufu pok. The 3 of us finished everything to the last sip of sauce even though portions are quite generous. Price is reasonable and service was good and fast despite the large party going on. We travelled to Bentong quite often with friends for food & Day Trip but this time quite a Sad Experience that we entered this restaurant.

Restaurant served quite OK food overall except food presentation were horrible. Over spilled sauce & soup make the appearance look bad due to the dripping. The server's finger even soaked inside the sauce 🤦🏾🤦🏼

Horrible Toilet, hot environment & bad appearance on all staffs. Messy & unhygienic.

They do not have proper uniform & most all of them were total dirty & untidy for a restaurant level. Perhaps hawker or "mamak" stall is ok.

Hope there's improvement the soonest. Won't patronise again till there's...
