Nestled in the heart of Kuantan, Jumbo Garden offers a cozy retreat for those seeking a culinary escape. From its tranquil atmosphere to its delectable dishes, here's a breakdown of my experience:
Cozy Atmosphere: Upon entering Jumbo Garden, I was immediately struck by its inviting ambiance. The soft lighting and comfortable seating create the perfect setting for a relaxed dining experience.
Responsive and Friendly Staff: The staff at Jumbo Garden are not only attentive but also genuinely friendly. Their warm hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to my dining experience.
Steam Fish with Lime Sauce: The steam fish with lime sauce was a highlight of the meal. The tangy sauce perfectly complemented the tender fish. My only suggestion would be to serve it with charcoal instead of a candle burner for an even more authentic flavor.
Recommended Dish:Salted Eggs Squids: One dish that stood out was the salted eggs squids. The savory flavor of the salted eggs paired wonderfully with the tender squid, creating a memorable culinary delight.
Enhanced Experience with Thai Fragrance Rice: I suggest the owner change their current rice to Thai fragrance rice. This simple adjustment would elevate the steam fish with lime to the next level of culinary excellence. In conclusion, my total bill came to RM130, which I found to be reasonable considering the quality of food and service offered at Jumbo Garden. Whether you're looking for a quiet dinner for two or a gathering with friends, Jumbo Garden is sure to leave a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery very impressive entrance. As you enter the restaurant, it brings you to a "secret" garden filled with water features and greenery. Flowing parameter bamboos giving a sense of serenity and coolness. A very earthy feeling with heavy wood furnitures and fittings. The food is generally good although I feel that it just lacks a small touch of seasoning. The Tom Yam clear soup definitely lacks that sharpness. The crispy squid is good and just nice. The prawns somewhat lack a touch of firmness to its texture. The bittergourd with Salted Egg was definitely fantastic. We packed a fried rice which was quite good. There is however a misinformation on the western food available. Their website displays some western food that was suppose to be part of their offering. Unfortunately they weren't offering western anymore. I think guest would appreciate it if it was taken off the website to prevent misrepresentation. Service was average and efficient. As in most food and beverage outlets, due to the shortage of manpower, the service here...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe atmosphere is good for entertaining. The place is nicely decorated with a fish pond full of fishes and lots of greenery. Outside seating in the evening is ok as the place is well ventilated with many big fans. This is a pork free restaurant and the specialties should be seafood with many cooking style and seafood type. The curry prawns is nice although I feel it lacks aroma. It isnāt too heavy on the spices so itās not spicy. Suited for entertaining foreigners who are not accustomed to spicy food. The salted egg sotong was well done and portion was big. The Thai style lime steam fish was a disappointment though as the fish meat was overcooked while the sauce lacks the sour lime flavor of Thai style. It was very mild. The vegetables was ok.
Service overall was attentive and prompt. As there were only 3 of us, we couldnāt order more dishes. So we would return next time to try...
