Used to be my favourite breakfast spot ! Since they upgraded so called “ system “. Everything changed. This place use to be more like the real old style of kopitiam. The shop decorations, the staff who works here even the environment is very Harmony and friendly . But now everything has gone. And they even removed the napkin they used to sticked at the walls . The worse they not even placing the napkin on every tables. If you want napkin you have to get up to the counter and take by yourself. How much does a napkins cost you? Your food and drinks is NOT CHEAP. if i need to get up to take the napkins. Why i not go to food court instead ? And now they upgraded the stupid POS system and ask customer to order with phone. And now you cant even order a plain water instead you need to order the whole mineral water. You can charge your customer 30 sen , 50 sen. I dont care. I hate to be force like this. Of course theres a reason i only want to order a glass of water instead of the whole bottle. You think people order glass of water is cheap person isit ? The very first they removed the napkins already piss me off. But now they not allow you to order a glass of water. Im done with this place. This used to be a very nice kopitiam to me. Now...
Read moreOne of the best places to have a nice breakfast and coffee. It’s not as amazing as the big cities but there’s very few choices for a good breakfast joint and Muar-e stands out. Their wholemeal toast (Wholemeal Baker) is quickly prepared and even if you don’t fancy wholemeal, it’s so good, you should try it. The butter and kaya are evenly spread and the toast is promptly prepared. The eggs are also made just right. The fried pan mee (Tepung Goreng) tastes as good as the ones in KL. Maybe even better. The grave is slightly thicker and texture of the noodles make it delicious. Would you believe their Penang Chu Cheong Fun rivals those in the island itself? It’s that good, authentic right down to the prawn paste! The nasi lemak (the regular one) is disappointingly average. If there’s one bad thing about this place, it’s the fried chicken which is thick in flour. Staff are always busy here and it can get very crowded. One last thing... don’t leave without having the...
Read moreA well known place for local goodies especially for coffee, toast bread and fried noodles. In this visit we tried the Mee Mamak, Mee Siam and plain Nasi Lemak. The Mee Mamak was tasty and moist. It's mildly salty, sweet, spicy and sour from the squeezed lime. Talk about complexed flavours. The Fried Mee Siam is another good example of good tasting noodles. Honestly it tasted more like Fried Singapore MeeHoon which is also a good thing. It was cooked perfectly and the noodles wasn't dry or mushy. Nasi Lemak didn't disappoint and the sambal was thick and tasted more like sambal tumis which was closer to those found in Grilled Fish. Not too sweet and mildly spicy. Portion is just nice too. All the dishes ordered didn't disappoint. The coffee was good. It had a mocha after taste and it was smooth. Overall a recommended place for coffee and...
