Of all the eating places at Bukit Tinggi, I keep coming back to Xiong Xin. To be honest, it's not because of the food but because of its clean toilet :-)
But the food is ok too. My usual orders would be the Bukit Tinggi special "yin-yiong" vegetable, which is a cross between kailan and choy-sum (sawi). Stir-fried plain with just garlic and this style lets you taste the crunchy vegetable at its best.
The omelete is good too - I was pleased that it was not the soggy and oily type. Good job, chef!
But the glass noodles prawns was a slight let down this time. The chinese cabbage must have been dumped in too late because it was undercooked. Also, I could see black marks of rot in this white vegetable. Furthermore the soup had too much chinese wine that it tasted overpowering and bitter. Hope it'll taste normal again next...

Read moreThe dishes are really good especially the wild patin. It has the 火味 (fire smell, quoted the adults' word haha). Vegetables, claypot tofu and wild boar curry (三豬咖哩) are sooo tasty. Service is good.
Other restaurants were mostly crowded and full. It has given us the chance to explore this new restaurant.
