215 Beng Huat Chicken Rice — Restaurant in Penang

I heard that Beng Huat Chicken Rice is quite famous in Chai Leng Park, so I had to give it a try. I was told their chicken rice is different from what you usually get on Penang Island—and it really is.

The restaurant offers air-conditioned dining, which is a nice touch, and they even use a robot to deliver food to your table. The dining area is clean and comfortable.

We ordered their signature chicken, and it did not disappoint. The skin had a slightly crispy, deep-fried texture, while the meat remained smooth, tender, and moist—truly delicious. Another standout was the fried tofu, packed with amazing flavor.

Overall, this is easily one of the best chicken rice spots in Prai. Definitely worth...

Maybe my review will be a bit biased as I grew up eating this food but after so long, I still thoroughly enjoy the food here. Must try item for me:

The rest usually i will add on like fried chicken gizzard or liver, and other small add on items.

The chilli sauce here is special for me. It is very watery, and sour but not too spicy and it fits well for me.

Asam soup is the main speciality. Loved it. Been regular customer for many years. However, super disappointed with the drink service lately. Came to this shop all the way from SP and food arrived first. First incident (Nov 21), the boy forgot my drinks and I had to reorder because soya was sold out. Second incident (Dec 21), we had to collect our own drinks as food arrived much earlier and we were almost done with the meals and third incident today (23rd Jan 22), we finished our food & made payment without drinks as the boy didn’t bothered to serve although we reminded him.
