Charcoal Stove Char Kueh Teow: A Taste of Tradition Stepping into this roadside food court, you'll find a true gem: the Charcoal Stove Char Kueh Teow. This stall has been dishing out deliciousness since 1982, now expertly run by the third-generation son, who clearly inherited the family's culinary skills.
The star here is, of course, the char kueh teow, cooked over a traditional charcoal stove which imparts that irresistible smoky "wok hei" flavor.
I highly recommend opting for the duck egg option – it adds an extra layer of richness that truly elevates the dish. The pricing is also very reasonable for the quality you get.

A bonus tip: there's a fantastic Lai Chee Kang shop right next door to this stall. It's the perfect refreshing dessert to complement your savory char kueh teow.

You must tell yourself to enjoy the quirkiness of the old, simple and sometimes uncomfortable decor surroundings. Lastly you shouldn't be disturbed by whiff of exhaust if you sit near the road.
In the end, eating here is an experience and the experience is what you make...
