Nando's AEON Bukit Mertajam — Restaurant in Penang

Overall the taste was ok. The portion of the soup was still acceptable given there was some shredded chicken inside. However, the portion of the rice in the Peri Honey Chicken Thigh Bowl was terribly small. It was clearly from the picture that for this small size of plate which is not even very tall, the rice is just one thin layer in the plate. Correct me if I’m wrong, I believe this item which i ordered wasn’t meant for children. This plate cost me RM21.90 which i think was on the higher side and a bit unreasonable for the portion of the rice. The price of one 1/4 chicken with one side is RM23.90 if not mistaken. If i chose this set, the rice was served in a small bowl which i personally tried before was ok. But the portion of rice in the Peri Honey Chicken Thigh Bowl was unacceptable. It was unbelievably small. And also, the rice was cold when it was served, which is also disappointing. I agreed to change the rice from Mediterranean rice to spicy rice as i was being informed the shop was out of Mediterranean rice at that moment and the new batch needs 15-20 minutes. I had a fantastic experience at Nando’s! The staff were incredibly welcoming from the moment I walked in. The crew handled everything with such efficiency — my order was taken promptly, and the food arrived quickly, hot, and exactly as I asked.

A special shoutout to Tasha & Nisha who was so friendly and checked in on us during the meal to make sure everything was perfect. The whole team worked together smoothly, and their positive attitude made the atmosphere even better.

The restaurant was clean, the service was top-notch, and I really appreciated the genuine care the crew showed.

Definitely one of the best Nando’s experiences I’ve had — I’ll be back soon and will recommend this...

The food is good can’t deny it. However, Nando’s should provide training for their staff on food handling skills! When i want to pass my glass to the staff to refill my drink the staff hold the glass at the area where i drink my drink (funny thing is I already hold the top of the glass so he can hold the middle of the glass but he still hold the top of the glass) and worst part is before he take my glass he is playing with his phone!
