Tucked away in Bukit Mertajam, Pick A Brew is one of those cafes that truly surprises you, in the best way. Whether you're looking for a spot to get some work done, enjoy a good cup of coffee, or just take a quiet moment for yourself, this cafe delivers on all fronts.
🌟 Ambience
The moment you walk in, you're greeted by calming aesthetics and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s not flashy or overly done; just the right balance of minimalism and charm. The seating is comfortable, and the layout is well-thought-out for both solo visitors and small groups. Despite being cozy, it doesn’t feel cramped; in fact, it’s quite the perfect quiet escape from the busier streets outside.
☕ Coffee & Menu
Their coffee game is solid. Whether you're into espresso-based drinks or more experimental brews, you’ll find something you enjoy. I had a cup of their signature house blend, and it was smooth, balanced, and thoughtfully made. For non-coffee drinkers, their matcha and teas are a solid alternative.
The menu has a decent selection of light bites and desserts, not an extensive food menu, but what they offer is curated and well-prepared. Great if you're not looking for a heavy meal but want something to pair with your drink.
💻 Work-Friendly Setup
One of the best things about Pick A Brew is how conducive it is for working or reading. There are ample plug points, stable Wi-Fi, and just enough soft background music to set the mood without being distracting. You’ll spot a good mix of remote workers, students, and casual coffee lovers throughout the day.
🚻 Facilities & Service
A rare but appreciated mention: their toilets are clean and well-maintained, which is honestly something that makes a big difference for regular café-goers.
The staff are incredibly friendly and genuine, always ready with a smile and helpful recommendations. You can tell they care about creating a good experience for their customers.
✅ Overall Verdict: Pick A Brew is the kind of place that earns your loyalty without needing to shout for attention. It's understated, thoughtful, and dependable, a hidden gem for anyone in the Bukit Mertajam area. Whether you're there for a productive day out or just to enjoy some me-time with a hot drink, this café won’t disappoint.

Considered a quiet cafe in noon. Enjoyed working there in the cozy environment, the coffee and Tiramisu with Liquor is good. Staffs are nice 😊. Yet to try their food (will update next time).
Got to know that there are sports centre upstairs at 2F and 3F (badminton, pingpong, muaythai..).
So kindly note that limited parking during evening time as all sports are running but definitely able to find the parking in noon...

You don’t just drink it — you taste it, you feel it. The bold espresso hits you first, followed by the deep chill of the milk. It’s smooth, intense, and refreshing — all in one sip. Each layer unfolds differently, from the milky start to the espresso punch at the end. A true experience for coffee lovers.
