If Ananda Bahwan(AB) had a good managerial governance, then it would be far easier to choose any AB-restaurants nationwide, for they will all fall in a narrow range of quality, I.e, the quality are pretty much the same in every restaurant. However, it is unfortunate that this isn't so with AB and some fare well above good while some just provide services that make you want to facepalm yourself and scream "I regret coming here". This particular AB fall in the latter. Make no mistake though, the food is not that bad but it's just banal and rather insipid or in layman's terms, ordinary but edible. No sooner when you factor in the price, then you'll quickly realise that its not worth the money. The place does seem neat, tidy and clean but it appears to have a fly infestation problem. Went there twice when we were in visiting BM last month, first time around the food was fresh & service was so so.. Second time around we ordered more than RM100 worth of food for 4 adults & 2 kids & food was not fresh & overcooked. Service from the guy in charge of scooping rice & dishes is by far the rudest waiter I’ve ever met in my whole life. It’s as if he paid us to eat there, absolutely no manners whatsoever & I agree with other reviewers on this matter. The restaurant was filthy & we had bad diarrhea the next day. So few weeks back I had a breakfast with my family here on a Sunday morning. The potato masala served for poori was actually spoiled. We didn’t complain we just had it with the curry which tasted extremely bad as well. Once we were done with our meal we went to the counter and told the counter lady that they are serving spoiled food.
