Pork Organ Soup (All Mixed) + 1 Yam Rice = RM13.00 Barley (Hot, No Sugar) = RM2.00 No Service Charge
This is a Michelin Bib Gourmand Food Stall.
According to some sources, So apparently the Owner enjoyed eating Yam Rice so much when he was in Singapore, he went back to Penang, tweaked the First Yam Rice Stall in Bukit Mertajam in 1983.
At its Core, this is basically 豬杂汤. The Eatery itself is a Big and Old Looking Kopitiam. There were noticeably quite alot of Customers although not Full House on a Thursday Morning at 9.00am. Its not Airconditioned although still quite Airy and Cooling. The Staffs are Friendly and Keep to Themselves.
Before taking a Seat, just go ahead and order what you want. Its very Easy to order too if you want Every Parts Cham Cham. It was served up very promptly in 2 Mins.
Now the Big Difference that this Place was compared to regular Pig Organ Soup in Singapore is the Sheer Variety of Pig Spare Parts that are available. I think other than Brain, basically EVERY Spare Parts you can think of is all here. This may be the Most Comprehensive 猪杂汤 I've ever eaten so far. Not even in JB have I had a Spare Part list that is so Comprehensive.
I won't describe in detail every Spare Parts, so I'll just pick a Few. The Pig Blood is Not Super Firm, also Not Super Soft. Texture was just nice. I also liked that it was served in Quite Big Cuts.
Meatballs tasted like they're Handmade, Firm and Bouncy. Lean Meats, Belly and Intestines were Chewy, Not Overly Piggy 猪腥味 and Clean Tasting. All the other Different Various Spare Parts were Nicely Cooked.
Soup Broth has a Nice Delicious Slightly Sharp Mustard Green 酸菜味. Admittedly not Super Mind Blowing, but this is an Above Average Decent Quality Soup Broth.
The Chilli they have here tastes Very Different compared to the Type of Chilli we have in Pig Organ Soup in Singapore. For one thing, its mixed with a Dark Soy Sauce, Much Thicker in Texture and Sharply Salty intead of Sourish.
A Tad Stronger in Spiciness too as it will Gently Bite your Tongue with a Heat that Lingers Longer. Nice Chilli Mix they got here, and I feel also pairs well with 猪杂汤.
Ok I've described EVERYTHING but their Actual 招牌 Yam Rice. How does it actually taste?
Pretty Meh actually.
Firstly, I wasn't impressed with the Amount of Rice they gave for their Default Bowl. Amount looks Quite Stingy with maybe at most only about 4 Tablespoons?
I'll be Very Honest, other than maybe a Slightly Fluffier Texture, I dont think this Yam Rice really taste any different from our Singapore Version. In fact I even feel the Yam Taste here is slightly more Subdued in comparison to some Yam Rice we have in SG.
No Offence, but I have No Idea why this is considered Michelin Standard. This tastes like Very Common SG Kopitiam Level of Yam Rice. Hahaha, maybe the Michelin Inspector never eat Yam Rice before?
Barley (Hot, No Sugar) = RM2.00
This Eatery surprisingly don't sell any Coffee so I ordered this. Taste quite Meh, tbh kindda taste abit Dilluted even. Doesn't even have any Barley Oat Groats within. I don't feel this is worth the Money. Skip this.
Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At the Price of RM13.00 (S$3.90), this is an Affordable and Above Average Bowl of 猪杂汤 with what is I believe the Most Comprehensive Listing of Pig Spare Parts I've ever eaten so far. It is worth the Price because of how Comprehensive it is. You're getting Almost Every Part of the Pig right here.
Amusingly, the Most Disappointing Item is their Literal 招牌 Michelin-Awarded Yam Rice. Amount felt so Stingy and the Taste really tasted Very Meh in my opinion. Because of how Stingy the Portion of Rice was, I actually felt 吃不饱 when I was here.
That said, this is still a Above Average Quality Pig Organ Soup and if you have a Craving for it while you're in the Area, sure why not give this a try. Definitely not worth Queuing Up for sure though.

We couldn't resist trying their signature dish, the yam rice. It was a revelation. The yam rice was cooked to perfection, boasting a strong shrimp flavor and a satisfyingly chewy texture.
