Liew Kee (Ah Lek) Chee Cheong Fun is a renowned eatery in Teluk Intan, Perak, celebrated for its distinctive take on the traditional chee cheong fun—a type of steamed rice noodle roll. Established decades ago, this family-run business has become a culinary landmark in the region. **Unique Preparation:** Unlike typical chee cheong fun, which is often served plain with accompanying sauces, Liew Kee's version is stuffed with a savory filling. The rice noodle sheets are generously filled with ingredients such as fried yam beans (jicama), dried shrimp, and occasionally spring onions, offering a flavorful twist to the traditional dish. This method has been passed down through generations, maintaining its authentic taste. **Customer Experiences:** Patrons have consistently praised the quality and taste of Liew Kee's chee cheong fun: - One reviewer described it as "the best Chee Cheong Fun that I ever ate," highlighting the unique flavor and texture that sets it apart from other versions. - Another customer emphasized its status as a must-try when visiting Teluk Intan, noting that the establishment operates from the evening until the early morning, catering to late-night cravings. **Pricing and Service:** The chee cheong fun is reasonably priced, with a packet costing around RM7.50. The establishment primarily caters to takeaway orders, with limited seating available for dine-in customers. It's important to note that payments are accepted in cash only, with no e-wallet options currently available. **Operating Hours:** Liew Kee operates from the evening until the early hours of the morning, making it an ideal spot for those seeking late-night local delicacies. However, it's advisable to check their current operating hours before planning a visit, as they may vary. **Conclusion:** Liew Kee (Ah Lek) Chee Cheong Fun offers a unique and flavorful rendition of a classic Malaysian dish, making it a must-visit for anyone traveling to Teluk Intan. Its longstanding reputation and positive customer reviews attest to its quality and enduring appeal.

Drive all the way to Teluk Intan for the Chee Cheong Fun and having expectations since I heard so much about them. The appearance of the Chee Cheong Fun is a turn off. The taste was just so so. Not sure what’s the hype about. RM8 each packet. These CCF are all pre-packed and they just put the packs into the plastic carrier and hand it to you just like fast food. For first timer purchase, I don’t even know how the food look like when I purchase it. I have to bring this CCF to nearby coffee shop to eat because the store doesn’t have a place for us to sit. This business looked commercialised. There’s only 1 or 2 table in the store. So this is more like an eatery place caters for take away only. They also sell mini bottle 凉茶 which cost RM3. One sip only I instantly feel I will die of diabetic if I finish the bottle. Parking can be a challenge because the road is narrow. Parking lot is limited.

This Chee Cheong Fun outlet is located at No. 725 Jalan Hill, Teluk Intan. You can either eat at the small space there do a takeaway. The popularity of Liew Kee's chee cheong fun is obvious, with the continous number of patrons thronging in. Unlike the typical chee cheong fun, which is often served with sweet sauce and sesame seeds, Liew Kee's version is filled with a savoury mixture of preserved vegetables, aromatic shallots, and dried shrimps, offering a unique flavoir that sets it apart. This dish is accompanied by pickled green chilies, which adds a subtle tangy kick that enhances the overall taste. Their homemade herbal drink (leong sui) complements their chee cheong fun is cooling and refreshing especially on a hot day. This eatery is a must-try when visiting Teluk Intan.

No visit to Teluk Intan is complete without trying their signature ccf. Although it has evolved to become somewhat "commercialised" (shop is new, used to operate out of a house or something), it's still worth checking out if you're visiting. Locals love to complain how out-of-town folks drove up the price of this ccf (now 8.50 per pack, feels like it goes up by a ringgit or two every year), yet you'll still see customers ordering packs of 10 or 20 for the road for friends and family back home. Surprised they were open on Chor 1, decided to drop by. Ccf texture wasn't as good as what I remembered it to be, but I'll probably still make it a point to visit because you really can't get this anywhere else. Only 3 tables, so mostly for take away.

We visited Teluk Intan Liew Kee around 2 PM, and it was very crowded with no available seating. We decided to take away two packs of chee cheong fun. We’ve really missed the Teluk Intan-style chee cheong fun, which I haven’t found anywhere else in Malaysia. It pairs perfectly with sour green chilies. However, this time, I found it slightly soggy and oily, even though I ate it right away in the car after purchasing. Despite that, I would still make a special trip to buy it because it’s genuinely delicious. I hope they can maintain the quality, as this is one of Teluk Intan’s iconic foods. The biscuit shop next to the chee cheong fun is also worth a visit. We bought some heong peah, and the taste and texture were excellent!

No introduction is required as this CCF (Teluk Intan version) is widely and divestly covered and blogged by journalists and bloggers. The texture of the CCF is smooth and not thick yet gives one a mouthful experience. Flavorsome as the CCF is packed with lots of ingredients. Do not let its appearance put you off as it is presented with lots of black stuff in the fillings. Once you take your first bite, you won't stop. When you buy, don't just buy 1 pack. You will not be satisfied. We are not saying it's a small pack; in fact, the packing size is reasonable for one person's serving. Anyway, trust us. You should allocate a minimum of 2 packs per person. It's that good.
