Old Anson Road Recipes Nasi Kandar — Restaurant in Perak

Fried bean sprout and the completely out of place red chilli paste shouldn't be in plate of nasi kandar, a proper one that is. I asked to put some in just to see if they did it any differently and nope, the chilli paste unsurprisingly, managed to prove me right yet again. The rice doesn't taste good, the curries are too thin and the chicken innards weren't great. The only positive I can say is their spiced fried chicken which turned out to be flavourful enough. Service wise they aren't fast and while they dedicated a takeaway line, it isn't the most user friendly. Price wise they aren't exactly cheap with the fried chicken being a little expensive while the rest are on par, which is a problem because the taste of those aren't anywhere near par.

They think they are famous so they don't need to treat customers fairly. I am a first time customer here. One of the male waitors acknowledged me and told me food will be ready at 10.30am. I was early by half an hour. So i just stood there waiting. But the workers there served other customers who came later than me when the food is ready. By that time the line has build up. So i just walked away instead of queing at the back of the line. If the workers treated me with respect, they can serve me first since i was the first to arrive, even though i queued at the wrong spot (i stood at dine in spot). How do I know where to queue since i am a first time customer. I am more than happy to spend my money elsewhere if you are arrogant no matter how...

This restaurant is quite new but the recipes are from the Speedy restaurant here in Teluk Intan town...I usually frequent Speedy restaurant when I visit Teluk Intan for the nasi kandar. The food absolutely delicious definitely with the "oomph" factor...worth eating though pricy. When I was there durjng the third day of hari raya eid holidays, the food was sold out at noon....so I decided to try Old Anson Road Recipes nasi kandar...the place was clean and spacious.. It did not disappoint...the food was just as delicious...I had a serving of snall sotong and a fried chicken drumstick with rice and fish curry... Prices are reasonable.. satisfaction...
