For those living in KL/PJ area, you might have heard of Ah Lye Curry Fish head in SS19, Subang Jaya before. Many do not know that they originated from Taiping and Aun Loke is the "mothership" here in Pokok Assam area.

The signboards in front of the restaurant make it hard to miss, though parking is very limited. Don't be shocked at the lack of seating when you enter the restaurant, as the main dining hall is located on the left of the "old wing". A spacious, air-confitioned, hall greets you with ample seating, making it a comfortable place to have a meal.

Famous for their curry fish head (you can change it to fish meat instead), and some local favourites, Just ask your server and they'll be more than happy to recommend the must-try dishes. Many go here not only for the curry fish head, but also assam prawns, salt baked chicken and bean paste deep fried pork as well.

Prices are very reasonable and you'd be hard pressed not wanting to make this a destination whenever...

Probably one of the best curry fish head I've ever had (and I do tend to try curry fish head in places that serve them). Another one of the shops that seem to operate out of a converted house (this seems common in taiping), there's an outside area and a air-conditioned inside area.
