During my 3D2N stay in Taiping for my UTMB Trail Run, never I thought I will come to the same spot for my dinner twice in a row haha
They executed everything perfectly during our first visit, all the pork dishes are so goodddd (even my gf who dislike pork also give it a try and continue eating it haha) my ranking for their pork dishes would be 1st - Pork Ribs - must order!!! Tender where meats fall off from bone yet with packed with yum yum smoky flavours xD 2nd - Pulled Pork 3rd - Pork Belly
For sausage wise, eventhough im a fan of pork but chicken one taste much better, the pork one might not suite my taste but it is more juicy compare to the chicken one
Side dishes is good as well especially the mashed potato....so damn smooth, balanced flavor profile with fragrance of butter xD salad is fresh and crunchy with the right amount of sauce (feeling healthier lol) mushroom soup can be improve hehe
2nd night we decided to try beef, lamb and salmon. Beef and lamb is not too bad but the salmon is overcooked hence the meat is on the drier side..hence to be safe I would suggest to stick to PORK for a wholesome experience hehe...curly fries is sinfuly good as well xD ou ya, their sauces are very good as well! honey mustard, bbq and mint sauce; just the right amount to complete the dining experience!
This is a partnership business and I hope both the young bosses can consider venture into KL which I feel they are doing so much better compare to the competition out there! Kudos to them and I wish the standard remain the same when i revisit...

And hoo boy, was it awesome! Ordered the Chinese New Year set meal for 4 pax and everyone ate their fill.
Seafood starter set was diverse, tender octopus, abalone, smoked duck, smoked salmon and japanese seaweed salad. A nice starter, but it is soon forgotten once the main arrived.
Pork trotter, big trotter smoked, tender, flaky, excellent sauces (BBQ and mustard house speciality sauce), that's all I can focus on as I write this. It was great to tear the meat with my hands, and squeezing the meat just shows how tender the whole thing is. The meat gets even better as you get closer to the bone, where it's more moist and succulent. Minor complaint with some of the outer parts, they were harder and drier, but most of the trotter was excellent.
Smoked chicken very tender as well, very flavorful and flaky, elderly will enjoy it's texture.
Pork belly is just making me feel guilty, fatty and full of flavor, must try.
Sides of salad was ordinary, but the mashed potato was chunky and buttery.
Complimentary water available, plastic gloves available, seating is adequate and the interior is decorated with that Midwestern feel.
All in all, great place and only one of it's kind in Taiping. Pitmaster Siew deserves more praise and recognition, I hope to...
Read morecame here for dinner and this place lives up to its reviews! it's quite hard to get good smoked meats in malaysia and singapore but this place in taiping does it right at non-exorbitant prices.
we had the 3-pax beefy porky set - pork belly, pork ribs, and beef brisket. it also came with 2 sides of our choosing - we got the mash and beans (mash was super buttery and fragrant). portions were HUGE!
my family of 5 added on a pork sausage, pork bolognese spaghetti and a side of curly fries as well. all dishes lived up to expectations - smoked well, juicy yet cooked through and flavourful. the sausage can be an acquired taste though as it is more herbaceous than what we normally get.
we found the prices extremely reasonable for 5 pax as well - rm298 for the cold appetiser platter, the 3-pax beefy porky set, 2 side add-ons, 2 spaghetti bolognese and 5 drinks.
my only qualm would be that the music could be a bit softer at times. nevertheless i would definitely return on my next...
