Bean's Kitchen (Jalan Kampar) — Restaurant in Perak

I happened to see Vietnamese egg coffee on the wall outside the cafe when I walked past. It intrigued me so I went in to order a cup.

First taste was super sweet! Then I figured I’m supposed to stir the condensed milk at the top into the coffee.

After stirring, it’s still super sweet. It’s the kind of drink you give to your kid to keep them bouncing off the walls till 3am.

An interesting experience, and it’s also educational to learn that egg coffee was invented at a time when Vietnam faced a shortage of milk, and a bartender used egg yolk to achieve the frothiness...

I seldom write review, but this shop I must give a 5 stars.. Just opened 1 Nov 2024, today 18 Nov 2024, I came and tried. Very very authentic Vietnamese taste. I specially write this review once I finished the Pho while still inside this shop. I can say this is the most authentic Pho I had outside Vietnam. The beef slices portion is huge too, tender and thickness is right. The dripping coffee is aromatically well....

The Banh Mi baguette is super crispy, and the authentic chilli sauce to add on is a perfect combination.

The Vietnamese Coffee is strong and creamy! Authentic.
