Came here for the first time and I’m blown away by the great service and system. I would say that the service here is on par with good service in Japan. Starting with the lady (Ms Wong Zi Yi) at the door giving out numbers for the queue, she was clear, loud enough, polite and hardworking to attend to us at the queue. She was very attentive and approached everyone to make sure everyone got a number. She could handle a big crowd very well, she was organised, helpful, friendly , calm but firm. The person at the door is usually your first impression of the whole establishment, and with her it was a very good one. We were led to our table upstairs, though it was a rather small place on the second floor it was spacious enough and we had room to breathe. They didn’t cram in as many tables for the sake of business, they considered the patrons’ comfort. Even with the crowd, there was not a sense of chaos at all. Our servers Sharon and Chun Yan were so efficient and hardworking. Sharon is very detailed and attentive, though she was overlooking a few big groups simultaneously she managed to give every one enough attention. She would check orders over and over and made sure each dish was out. They made sure to let us know if a dish was going to be out late and why. Sharon was so detailed she even explained the portion of the kaya toast before we ordered more. Every time a group would leave Sharon would be so quick to clear all the dishes and clean the table well so another group could come in. My family and I are very impressed. Though there were many groups, I felt very taken care of. Though the place was packed at about 10AM and it was quite loud, we didn’t feel under pressure and still could take our time to enjoy the food. As someone who is sensitive to crowds and loud noises, I didn’t feel rushed at all and was quite relaxed. I think it’s also because of the great service and good vibes, the staff were very dependable. Not one of the staff here had bad, proud or unfriendly vibes. The food and prices were really good as well. I recommend the egg custard and the radish cake! Would definitely come back here for quality food and quality service, please keep up...

Read moreThis is a good place to try if you like coffee shop food but want a comfortable sitting in an air con environment. Naturally, it's priced accordingly.
If there's one dish I would recommend, it would be the pork belly noodle. Assuming you like pork belly soup. It's only available on sat & sun though. But if you get a chance, do try. It comes piping hot, the peppery aroma is delicious. The soup is light, well balanced pepper and salt without being overboard with pepper. The pork belly / stomach is tender, chewy and well cooked.
The shredded chicken noodle is above average but not unique. It has a great flavour and you can taste the prawn umami they have incorporated in it. I wasn't impressed with the kaya butter today though. Even though the toast was beautifully done, there was just a lack of kaya in it. I prefer a bit more kaya. Otherwise the toast tastes a little dry.
As for the gula melaka jelly milkshake, I found it superb, especially on a hot day. The aroma of gula melaka makes everything taste better and this is no exception. I would repeat order this in a heartbeat. Ordering is easy via qr but they interestingly do provide paper and pen at the table for those wishing to...
