Ritz Garden Hotel — Hotel in Perak

Been staying here for years... The staff all great.. King, Ray, Alex, (not sure they remember me)... Those who remember me would be Sis Intan, My Bhaiya Bhola and my brotherman Mr.Andy... Love you all for great service...

About the hotel: G floor got reception (where Andy, Intan and Bhola hangs out) M floor got few small room around (price might differ but usually 150+ to 180+) 1st is my favorite it has pool, small theatre (haven't tried), gym (oh yaa tried it), walk around you'll see a skybridge to V-Hotel and Cafe below, there's a karaoke and small pub at the corner. 1st floor also got bigger rooms (1000 series where the number starts in 1001 and so on... There is a special room there, if you're lucky you'll get it, that room has a mini kitchen and a mini dining hall... All for same price for 1st floor around 200++ to 250++ price might differ weekends and holidays)

Food: Directly below you have "Euro Cafe", pub and food Walk around you'll see famous mee goreng mamak (closes at 6pm, so famous sold out early loh) Walk more you'll see famous soya (also closes early 1pm+ cause sold out early) Food Panda - ok give the rider specific details, riders have trouble finding this Legend Hotel, give instructions like " it's behind V-Hotel, behind Euro Cafe, its in the middle building and you better wait out before he cross you, he might not see the hotel, believe me, years of experience.

Why stay there: Kind a center point for everything (for me) went for wedding graduations gatherings vacation safest parking in the planet (go see for yourself) easy grab access if ur drunk nearby just walk and sleep safely friendly...

I stayed at the Premier room (2 King beds). Everything looked okay at first, cleaned and spacious. Room was enough to fit 4 adults and 2 small kids at one time. But when i tried to use the tap and shower in the toilet, looks like the heater was not functioned. When i tried to use the standing shower, it got burst immediately and the tube spout connecting to the tap fell off. I had to use the shower near the bathtub instead. Then when my husband tried to use the electric kettle, boom, all power off due to power trip. We called up the reception and they sent a technician immediately, he was surprised to know that the wiring was not done correctly, and was not safe at all. Knowing that the wiring and shower work will take some time, and we couldn't be moved to another room due to unavailability. We had no choice but to leave the room because 1. my baby needs hot water for his milk, 2. we havent had dinner. We headed back to hotel right after dinner, and thank god they managed to complete all the work. Shower and wiring were fixed accordingly and the heater finally worked. Breakfast? The Chinese fried rice was very plain in taste. Even my 2 year old baby refused to eat it. Same goes to the rice porridge- tasteless. Fried meehoon was okay. I'd rather have a simple selection of tasty breakfast, rather than having a variety of food but tasteless. The only credits i would vie was to the front desk officer and technician. butI'm not recommending this hotel,...

So far all the facilities okay except for the sauna room and gym room. Unfortuanally, the sauna room got problem. We can't use it after swimming time. We paid for the amount suppose to have a chance to enjoy sauna. But too bad...Male & female sauna room not available. Besides for the gym room, facilities that need electrical can't be used also. Other than that, for this hotel if you want to take lift to another level, then you have to scan your room card in the lift. Hmm..I know this is for safety but it is quite not convenience for us that everytime when I wanna get out of the hotel to buy some stuff or what..I have to bring along with the room card. Then, my family if want to stay in the room wait for me to come back...the room power will auto off. Tv, lights and aircon all can't be use already. Actually, if want to avoid this situation happen again. I suggest the hotel at least give us 2 keys. It will be more convenience for us and I believe other customers got this problem also. I hope from the above I have mentioned can be highlighted in order to improve this hotel.

Another thing I want to say is before we moved in the room, the people who serve us not bad, very kind and polite. Swimming pool also quite clean and is good for those people who don't know how to swim. Can learn from there becoz is not that deep and is same floor level. Only 1.4m.
