A NEW DISCOVERY 💛 .. A JIE Cafe in pasir pinji .. it has its own charm .. pleasant, nice, good kopi, good food ..

A "sister cafe" to the popular ChiangJiang Coffee ..

(Translated fr google, w a bit of editting .. :)) .. ) ...

A Jié Cafe AJie White Coffee Tea House Ipoh .. in the 1950s & 1960s, everyone loved to drink a lot of coffee. The brewed coffee was also relatively white, but no one called it white coffee then . It was a popular feature in small towns .. In 1989, a person named Jiang Yongqiang on the Daheyuan Street in Ipoh opened a “Changjiang Tea Room”, which was also used as a store and wholesale. First, the roasted white coffee was sold to other tea houses in Ipoh. The market responded well. Their confidence grew & sales improved significantly .. so, in order to continue the culture of his father, Jiang Yongqiang white coffee, Jiang Xiujie, his second-generation daughter, who often went to her father's tea room as a helper during her studies, continued to learn the white coffee brewing method .. over time, Jiang Xiujie mastered the secret of brewing white coffee. The unique formula and brewing method make the white coffee more mellow, so the “Changjiang Tea Room” quickly became famous all over Ipoh. Jiang Xiujie renamed the original store “Changjiang Tea Room” to “Jiangshi White Coffee Tea Room” and continued to operate. In order to enhance the brand culture of the original "Jiang's White Coffee", the concept of a unique Nanyang style Jié Cafe [Ajie Jiang's White Coffee Teahouse] was established. This Jié Cafe [Ajie Jiang's White Coffee Teahouse] was established mainly to cater to the unique taste tt resulted fr their white coffee brewing method. In addition to enhancing the cultural orientation of the “Jiang's White Coffee” brand, this café also displays the old furniture, "chicken bowl" tableware & famous calligraphy that Yibao passed onto the current generation. Every corner of the cafe tells a story.

Fabulous hidden cafe! Came on the recommendation of friends. Doesn't even have a sign or front but filled to capacity with regulars! They have many signature dishes. We tried the longan tau fu fa, Guilin gao, white coffee, kueh, Nasi kerabu, Tom yum bee hon, Assam Laksa and all of them were absolutely delicious. For sure we will be back! The decor inside is also very charming with a rack of old time coffee cups and the decor is very nostalgic and adds to the atmosphere. The A/C especially on a hot day is a welcome luxury! The boss lady is very inviting and charismatic. Very attentive to her guests and makes them feel at home.

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, our first visit did not disappoint in the slightest! In fact, everything tasted even BETTER than we remembered! We ordered many of our old favourites including Nyonya laksa, Tom Yum vermicelli and of course a big selection of kuih.

My standard drink of course my breakfast is kopi c kosong but I could not wait to have a cup of their traditional white coffee. It was like meeting up with an old friend! Texture was smooth and rich. Coffee is full-bodied but not overbearing and pleasantly sweet. Best white coffee I have had this trip so far! Friendly courteous hard working staff observed COVID protocols and best practices. One of our favourite spots to eat!

Another fabulous visit this afternoon for afternoon tea. We ordered all our favourite treats and a cold refreshing 虎咬獅. Every dish was delicious as always. Perfect afternoon treat! Busy as always and parking is never easy but...

Type: Chinese Cafe Signature: Dim Sum and White Coffee

Visited A Jie Cafe at an odd hour of 345pm with 9 people.... But we were greeted with a warm welcome. Still packed during this hour, which could only mean that the food is good. The manager gave us a large table and we started ordering what's left (available food in the menu).

As a rundown, we ordered their signature A Jie White Coffee (ice and hot) 4.5 🌟 which was really good. Then we ordered 2 bowls of Assam Laksa 4 🌟 .. Thick and nice but my only complain is that it doesn't come with chunky fish. The Toast with Kaya 4 🌟 was also nice but one friend commented that it didnt come with butter... So immedietly the staff brought butter (upon request).. That's great customer service.

In addition, we ordered Char Siew Pao (BBQ Pork Bun) 5 🌟 and this was really big and nice. This is unlike normal ones as the meat is juicy and the portion (size) is huge. We also tried the Bread with Chicken Curry 3.5 🌟 and the Braised Pork Rice 4 🌟. The one I personally like the most is actually the Rojak 5 🌟 which comes with thick and delicious sauce... And it even comes with a small plate of spicy chili if in case you want to spice up the Rojak. Very thoughtful indeed!

Generally, everyone here enjoyed the food and we will definitely be back the next time we are around the corner. Since this round, a lot of their signature was sold out.. We will definitely try those during our next visit.
