A Trip Down Memory Lane... Almost
Restoran DumSum Paradise was a delightful walk down memory lane. The bustling atmosphere, the familiar clatter of plates, and the scent of steaming dumplings instantly transported me back to childhood visits with my family. It was a sensory feast even before the food arrived.
The service was fast and friendly. Our plates were filled with a delightful variety of dim sum, each one a miniature masterpiece. The har gow (shrimp dumplings) were plump and juicy, the siu mai (pork dumplings) perfectly seasoned, and the char siu bao (barbecued pork buns) fluffy and sweet. It was a delicious journey through all the classics.
Unfortunately, the magic sputtered a bit with the final dish, the fried yam cake. It arrived almost unrecognizable. Peeking through a mountain of bean sprouts, the yam cake itself looked tired and unappetizing. Taking a bite confirmed my fears - it was definitely not fresh.
I brought this to the attention of the floor manager, hoping it was just an oversight. While they were apologetic and explained it was a new cook on only their second day, it did put a damper on the experience.
Maintaining high food quality is crucial, especially for a restaurant with such a strong reputation. While I understand new staff need training, a closer eye on their work is essential to avoid disappointing longtime customers like myself.
Despite this misstep, the rest of the meal was fantastic. Here's hoping Restoran DumSum Paradise uses this as a learning experience and continues to deliver the delicious and authentic flavors that have brought them so...
Read moreDim Sum Paradise is nothing short of a 5-star haven for foodies like me. Trust me on this, you need to order everything on the menu because everything is a culinary delight. Now, let's talk about the Salted Egg Mantou. It's not just good; it's in a league of its own, surpassing the competition by miles. I'm not here to promote, but when something's this exceptional, it deserves a shout-out.
I've ventured through many Dim Sum joints in the vicinity, but Dim Sum Paradise stands out for having it all. The ambiance, though it's a cozy nook, isn't overcrowded, even on a bustling Saturday. This is a rarity because most places rush you in and out like a food assembly line. But this place? It's a tranquil oasis where you can savor your meal at your own pace, a simple yet delightful dining spot.
Now, let's talk about the polo bun filled with pork bun goodness. It's like a culinary experiment that paid off big time. In a world where creativity reigns supreme, this unique twist on a classic is a testament to their culinary ingenuity.
The combination of the serene ambiance, delectable food, and innovative dishes makes Dim Sum Paradise an absolute gem. Whether you're winding down with friends for a hearty breakfast or gearing up for an epic lunch, this place has you covered.
All in all, Dim Sum Paradise has earned my unwavering applause. I'll definitely be back for more food adventures in this...
Read moreThe services at there is very bad. We arrived around 8.40am, after we ordered the food, the staff take the menu and disappeared. We have to reach out to a random staff only letting us know that the machine that should be printing out the order is malfunction. We asked how long it will take for us to get our food, the staff told us AT LEAST 30mins and even more to get our steam dim sum. We question about the speed of the food, and only knows that once they received our order, they only start ready the food and get them steam/cook. So it will take time, I really don't think this is how a businesses should be working if you anticipate all customer have to wait for at least 30-40mins to wait for all the dimsum and eat another 30-40mins. How many customer the restaurant plans to serviced?
We ended up cancelled our order and left with empty stomach. Very disappointed with their services because it's not the 1st time our family visit this place. My dad used to visit this place 2 times and he told me their services used to be ok. Not sure what...
