Location: very easy to locate right in the heart of Kampar old town. Parking: Easy to park in the evening on a weekday. But was told it is hard to find a parking during weekend and long holidays. Ambience: Good, clean and comfortable dining restaurant where we really enjoy the old Cantonese style interior set up. Variety: A lot of choice to go for ranging from their famous salted yellow chicken, asam fish to loh hon zai and many more. Taste: Above average and very home cooking style so no after meal thirstiness. Price: very reasonable and portion are big! Service: very good service provided by their workers whom are mainly local retired aunties and a few foreign/orang asli helpers. Overall: Very good for family /group dining. P/s they do sell the famous Kampar Curry Chicken bread and traditional biscuits and pao from morning till noon. Also do call to make reservation during weekend/holidays to avoid...
Read moreI love it when the people are friendly. Bad environment and no matter how nice the food can be will "taste horrible". The uncle that took our orders was pleasant, friendly. He was also patient. The other staff were also friendly. Food wise, sad that we could not try the curry chicken bun as it was sold out. I liked all the dishes. The tofu was nicely fried, just a little crisp on the outside but still retaining the softness and smoothness of the tofu inside. The Asam Fish slices was not bad too. Not overly overpowering which is good. I liked the sweet n sour pork, it has the right amount of "bounciness". The egg tarts n char siew pau were so so for me but i came when they were nearly sold out so perhaps not as fresh as it should be. Overall a...
Read moreWe are local Kamparian and my parents reserved a dinner package which cost RM938 on the eve of CNY 2024. We were told to pay RM200 for reservation and plates for takeaway. The RM200 will be refunded when the plates are returned. On the eve, went there for collection but we were told instead of plates, plastic containers will be used for takeaway food and RM100 is charged and deducted from the RM200 paid. Meaning, only RM100 is refunded. We were so disappointed with this news and when reservation was made, the restaurant did not mention this at all. There're seven plastic containers for each dish and obviously RM100 is not worth for it. Hope the restaurant owner will look into this issue and consider better...
