I first visited 金华楼 a few years ago when it had just opened in the Menglembu/Falim area. Back then, the food felt quite ordinary and didn’t leave a strong impression. However, on my recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the noticeable improvements — both in taste and overall dining experience.
One of the standout dishes this time was 珠光宝气 — a creatively named dish that definitely catches attention. It’s a unique combination of dragon fruit, honeydew, vegetarian mock meat, and a mayonnaise-based dressing. While it might sound unconventional, the flavor actually works well together and makes for an interesting starter.
The vegetables were cooked to a consistent standard — nothing extraordinary, but well-prepared. The chicken was particularly enjoyable — flavorful and well-marinated, with a nice depth of taste. The pork rib leaned a bit too salty for my personal preference.

Read more很失望的体验… 以前每次爷爷生日都会来这家餐厅,包括今天2025年4月11日,对于我们家来说算是个值得纪念且充满回忆的地方,但是今天之后,这将会是最后一次光临此餐厅。 想要吐槽的点太多,令我不知从何说起。 深感失望的同时感到有点无力。 我和我的家人都无法接受你们如今的服务态度,以前有多好就显得今天有多么的不好,没有对比就没有伤害,就好像多年来对你们餐厅的信任被瞬间背刺而随之崩塌。 首先点菜的那位服务员,态度语气及其不耐烦,并没有了解我们的需要而给予专业的建议,只一味的推荐价格高的菜品。 点完餐后旁边的其余服务员在一旁问出了一句“可以上菜了吗?”,这个时候我们还不以为意,大约不到十分钟的时间开始上了第一样菜,其他的菜品陆续接踵而来,酒楼的菜品相信经常光顾的人都知道盘子会相对比较大,装饰供给顾客拍照是他们其中的一项服务,这么多这么大的盘子在这么短的时间内一次性全部上来,可想而知桌子并没有足够的空间可以摆放。 菜刚摆放上来-拍照,夹菜,拿走(换小盘以方便摆放),此步骤一直持续到最后一样菜的到来。我们还未来得及吃到一口饭,光顾着夹菜,所有的菜品就均已上完。 这是我们在这间餐厅从未有过的体验! 可想而知家人会非常不满意而向服务员反映此问题,然而得到的回答竟是“我们上菜都这样,你们要是想要一样一样慢慢上,点菜的时候就应该交代我们”,我想说这不应该是你们的专业,你们要为顾客考虑并且提供的“服务”吗?为什么以前我们从来没有过这样的体验然而今天却受到了如此的服务态度?餐厅里也只有服务员和穿外套的“点菜员”,完全没有一个“负责人”可以出来解决问题,此时点菜员还在服务别桌顾客,脸不红气非常粗且非常不耐烦的来了一句“女士可以等一下吗我还在点菜” 。这个时候我们已然没有想要继续享用的想法,但是顾及今天是为爷爷庆祝生日,不想闹得不开心就继续吃了起来。 然而,我们吃的每一道菜品,疑似全部都是预制好加热的。所以上菜速度才这么快吧? 在我们反映出菜速度后,已经出了的“干煎明虾”被收了回去,第二次送上来的时候与第一次上来我拍的照片并不相符,而且是唯一一道像是刚煮出来还热的菜品。 这对于一家“酒楼”和价位来说是完全不能接受的。今天我们点了包括烤乳猪以内的八样菜品,花了Rm1000+人均80以上的价位所享用到的竟是预制菜?恕我没有办法接受。 我不知道是哪里出了问题,但希望你们能严肃对待并且解决这个问题,我并不希望除我们之外,未来光顾这家餐厅的顾客跟我们一样得到如此没有standard的服务。 以上,谢谢曾经给过我们家美好的回忆。感恩。
Extremely Disappointing Experience This restaurant used to be our go-to place for my grandfather's birthday celebrations, including today (April 11, 2025). It held special memories for our family, but after today, we will never return.
There are so many issues that I don’t even know where to start. I feel deeply disappointed and even helpless. The service today was shockingly poor compared to the warmth we used to receive. It felt like a betrayal of the trust we’ve built over the years.
Rude Service The staff taking our order was impatient and unprofessional. Instead of listening to our needs, they aggressively pushed expensive dishes. Rushed, Chaotic Service Within 10 minutes of ordering, all dishes were dumped on our table at once. The plates here are huge (meant for photos), so we had no space to eat. We spent the whole time scrambling to take photos, move dishes, and reorganize the table—without even getting a bite to eat. When we complained, the staff snapped, "You should’ve told us to serve slowly when ordering!" Since when is it the customer’s job to manage basic service standards? No Accountability There was no manager to address our concerns. The staff helping other customers even rudely said, "Can you wait, ma’am? I’m taking another order right now." Pre-Made, Reheated Food We suspect most dishes (including the RM1,000+ meal, over RM80 per person) were pre-cooked and reheated—hence the speed. After we complained about the rushed service, the "Pan-Fried Prawns" were taken back and re-served later as the only hot dish. For a premium-priced restaurant, this is unacceptable. We tolerated it for my grandfather’s birthday, but this is the last time. I urge you to fix these issues before more loyal customers leave.
