1st time trying this restaurant. food is pretty decent. enjoyed the cooking. tried various type of dishes in different styles. all turned out yummy.
d fried fish was crispy n d soya sauce complemented it v well. sambal prawns was not too bad, although i found d sauce a tad sweet.
however, d pork knuckle meat was a bit hard/tough but d skin was crunchy.
d curry mixed vege, egg omelette n 'lai pak' r palatable, as well as the fried noodles. d cooks do carry off d various styles/sauces v well. will definitely come back to try other dishes...
the restaurant itself is spacious and v comfortable. good air flow n they provide a few strategically placed cooler fans. d service crew is attentive, as is d manager (or boss) who is friendly and...
Read moreAnother neighborhood Chinese "dai chow" restaurant in PJ Old Town. First time here and we tried their steam tilapia in fermented bean sauce (酱蒸红非), pork rib king (排骨王) , dry butter prawns (干奶油虾) and watercress soup (西洋菜汤) . The tilapia was fantastic, steam to perfect timing, the meat were tender and soft. Just that the sauce was a little too sweet to my liking; and it would be better if it's more spicy. The watercress soup was great too, strong flavor of watercress. Pork rib and dry butter prawns were OK. Overall a decently good dai chow with reasonable price. Seasoning is just slightly heavy yet we like it. The place is quite busy in the evening and weekend. Parking lot available next to...
Read moreFood taste wise ok. Price was on the higher side. There’s no price stated in the menu, it seemed like they name the price as they like. We ordered a paiguat. The waiter mentioned that it was RM23 but the price change to RM25 when we about to pay. Reason being, oh there’s some extra small piece of meat remaining hence we add for you then add the price on it. Helllooo?!?????!! It felt like being cheated. The portion is very small. Do you mean that if theres non add on of that RM2 it will be way smaller? The cashier has quite a bad attitude, however the other on ground waiters or staffs are...
