2nd visit in 2025
Portion small and price expensive
This before 2025
Decent Experience, but Room for Improvement - 3/5
After having visited the Cheras outlet, I decided to give the PJ branch a try.
Atmosphere: 5/5 The establishment is impeccably clean, well-lit, and thoughtfully arranged with both indoor and outdoor dining options. The open kitchen concept adds to the inviting atmosphere, and the décor is modern and pleasant.
Service: 5/5 I’ve never seen such a large team of kitchen helpers, chefs, and waiters in one place. There were at least 10 cooks in the kitchen and about 7 waitstaff attending to customers, which contributed to efficient and attentive service.
Price: 2/5 The pricing is on the higher side, especially considering the portion sizes, which are quite small. It was difficult to feel fully satisfied given the limited portions.
Food: 2/5 The overall dining experience was just satisfactory. Compared to the Cheras outlet, I found the portion sizes here even smaller. For example, the drinks are priced at RM5.90, but they consist of 70% ice and only 30% beverage, making it feel overpriced for the value.
Parking: 2/5 Parking is a major challenge, as the outlet is near the busy O&S area in Paramount. Finding proper parking can be difficult, and local authorities frequently issue parking tickets, so caution is advised.
Will I return? Given the location’s high competition and the abundance of affordable dining options nearby, I may not return. For instance, while this outlet’s set meals range from RM17 to RM28, O&S and other nearby eateries offer meals priced between RM8 to RM10, with drinks as low as RM3 to RM3.50.
I got alternative location recommend if you like seafood, value more money, bigger portion google for B& Best...
Read moreWas a lil skeptical at first if it’s worth the queue. But went there weekly after for a few times.
First round, nice food better than a lot of fish head noodle soup around( personal taste and preference) not too milky or salty, has the fried shallots in soup which makes everything better. Somehow feel there’s more things in soup than many other shops. Fish was in good quantity and with a lot of meat too. Felt as if, ok la can come back if got time.
Went back and felt like we could try more the next round. It got addictive and the money spent feel more worthy with each visit.
Tried the
Spanish mackerel is nicest among the fish. Grouper might be next
Mixed seafood is worth a try if you like some seafood mix
Sides : The squid, we were hesitant, finally ordered one round, SUPERB!
Fried prawn paste fish paste - ordered twice, like fried KFC lol nice taste and bites
Fish cake, abit meh for us, maybe ok for kids
16% tax total
Parking, good luck. Queue move super fast so don’t worry Go there take number from counter and will have to place order as soon when...
Read moreExcited to try out this place the first time after reading lots of reviews about it. Very nice corner lot shop nicely designed, with a seafood parlor at the front. When we approached the shop, there was a swift of fishy smells which we thought was normal for a seafood place.. Once seated, we did our ordering happily and service was excellent. Ordered a side dish of cockles to try after avoiding it for donkey years..(due to its link to hepatitis..) perhaps this nice place serves clean and fresh cockles. I especially checked with the order taker making sure they are fresh before I order. The food came and everything was great except.. for the "siham" or the blood cockles. When it arrived at our table, we immediately smelled the same fishy smells again..this time at our face.. and they didn't look appetizing.. tasted a few and then bit into one rotten one.. Eeewww! Spoiled my appetite..
Having Michelin bib gourmand approved, they should be more careful in their food, especially seafood which can easily spoil. I didn't intend to have any discount so i just told the cashier about it. They say i should have informed them earlier and they can exchange it.. they took the remaining 70% of the cockles to smell it and acknowledged it. I told them it's ok, just be careful about freshness before serving. They deducted the cost of the dish automatically which I appreciated. In all fairness the rest of the food were great and Just don't serve cockles.. the smell of rotten...
