(PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT / WARNING) - This 1 star is not for the park, but a PSA for PARENTS WITH CHILDREN (especially babygirl /little girl) to BE CAREFUL bringing your child to this park.
The "higher ground" area where there are "gazebos/pondok" are located, are easy spying grounds for child predators/people with evil intentions. They can easily observe you and basically have a very good view of the whole park area, for targeting you.
I brought my 1year old+ baby girl to walk on the path, one evening (on the side nearer to the older playground area, and also where the gazebos are located). When walking down from the parking above, I looked to my left and saw a middle-aged man (wearing spectacles and dressed formally like he just got off work, with a laptop-lookin bag on his lap), he was looking at the park. I was holding my girl's hand and guiding her down the slope, and he suddenly turned towards me. I looked away. Continued down, not thinking of anything.
We brought my child to the older playground area, up the blues metal walkway of the playground slides (quite dirty and rundown, by the way) . Halfway guiding my daughter around the metal walkway, suddenly this same man walked up the metal-walkway (yes, onto the metal walkway where children would usually play), and smiled at my daughter while doing some weird hand gesture "hushing" her aside, and squeezed past us. My reaction was to just smile, but I was shocked inside because I know only minutes ago he was sitting quietly at the gazebo above.
I quickly told my wife who was beside me, and she too got shocked. I asked her to observe his movements behind us, while I stay focused on my daughter.
We exited this side of the metal-walkway, and she told me he walked out the metal-walkway on the other side, and was turning around, looking back at us.
I told my wife to get ready her pepper spray, and I quickly grabbed my daughter and we tried walking in a circle on the other side of the playground, just to test and see if he was following us. YES HE WAS, he made a round, and was walking over to our side of the playground.
We quickly walked faster out of the playground area and into the park area where there were other people (I can't recall exactly where we walked now, because I was quite anxious and kept looking back) , just to see if he was following us. AND HE STILL WAS. Although he was trying to walk slow and pretended to look away, he was following our steps.
All I remember after that was walking super quickly back up the slope (when we reached the top, he was starting to walk up the slope at the bottom already), we quickly got back into the car.
FIRST AND LAST TIME WE ARE GOING TO BE COMING BACK TO THIS PARK. Unless it's at the other area (nearer to the bigger houses, and the exercising area on the other side of the lake) , and on a Sunday maybe, where there are more people around.
So PLEASE, BE CAREFUL, PARENTS WITH CHILDREN. Just be wary of your surroundings, and try checking who are hanging out in the gazebos on the...
Read moreTaman Aman Park has slowly become one of my favorite spots in Petaling Jaya for unwinding and light exercise. It’s not a huge park, but it’s just the right size for a quick evening walk or jog, and the lake in the middle makes it a really calming place to spend time.
I usually come here in the evenings when the sun isn’t too hot, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The jogging track loops around the lake, and although it’s not very long, going a few rounds gives you a decent workout. It’s also nice that the park has a mix of shaded and open areas, so you can enjoy the breeze under the trees or take in the view of the lake.
What I really like about Taman Aman is the convenience. The Seri Setia LRT station is right beside the park, so it’s super easy to get here without worrying about parking (which can be tricky if you drive during busy hours). Sometimes, I even stop by the park on my way home from work just to walk a bit and clear my head before heading back.
Families seem to enjoy this park too. There’s a playground for kids, open lawns where people sometimes have picnics, and plenty of benches for sitting around. The vibe is very community-oriented—you’ll see joggers, elderly folks taking a stroll, kids cycling around, and groups of friends chatting by the lake. It has a nice neighborhood feel to it, which makes it welcoming.
Of course, it’s not perfect. Parking is limited, so if you plan to drive, it’s better to come early. The facilities are pretty basic—don’t expect food stalls or fancy amenities—but if all you want is some fresh air, greenery, and a place to stretch your legs, it does the job really well.
Overall, Taman Aman Park is not a “destination” park like KLCC or Titiwangsa, but for daily exercise and relaxation, it’s one of the nicest local parks in PJ. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants an easily accessible, quiet, and refreshing spot to spend an hour or...

This park offers a unique opportunity for fishing enthusiasts as well. While fishing is allowed, it's important to note that you'll need to obtain a permit beforehand to ensure compliance with regulations.
Overall, this community park provides a peaceful and invigorating setting, allowing you to rejuvenate and enjoy the benefits of fresh air, exercise, and a welcoming community of joggers.
