I don't know how many stars I should give. I have lots of feedbacks that I would like to write below.
I don't do well with languages, but hope you get a bit of gist what I am highlighting here.
Feedbacks mainly on: The attitude of staffs.
First and foremost, I am glad that McDonald's take in OKU (mentally or physically disabled individual, or both) as their staff. It's a good thing that Mcd is trying to give more job opportunities to people who have challenges in the society due to their disability. But the question is, if you take them in, are your other employees are educated a little to treat them better? What I have encountered during twice of my visit at this outlet was "dia memang ada masalah, dia mesti tidak boleh faham, dia tak guna, jangan cari dia, cari saya" (direct translate meaning - He/she has problems, he's no use, don't find him/her, find someone who's more well instead.). I don't fully write the sentences correctly, but the context is the same, it's about humiliation sentences along the lines. I have witnessed two different well abled staffs treats their two oku staffs very poorly, in different days that I visited. The OKU staffs are very upset, I can tell. I even offered myself to help them with one of the customers on my second visit. Just a little encouragement and help them understands the needs of the customers will help them better, and perform better.
I understand that disabled individuals might have a hard time to complete their task, and might have a hard time communicating, even expressing their needs. I know is frustrated. But wouldn't your other staffs be more understanding, or be more kind to them? If you want to help and also destigmatize, and not discriminate the minorities, please help educate your staffs in treating them better at least. The staffs are also indirectly let the customers who dine in in the outlet, knows that OKU can't be respected and can't do anything well. Which is not true, as I saw with two different days I dine in, they are trying their best to help even with cleaning. And they do things well too. Although I feel like is lacking of staffs that sometimes affected the cleanliness too. They just instructed them (OKU) to do things with a bad tone and scold them for not able to understand. Humiliation is the most that I seen in two different days, over a few months.
I don't know if only that two or three staffs treat them like this or all of the staffs treating them badly. But I really do hope that you educate your staff to be at least understanding and treating them better. Don't get me wrong, I respect and grateful that McDonald's hire OKU and trying to help them. But the question is, are you trying to help them to be at least be independent financially on their own and less stigmatized in society, or are you trying to destroy their trust by giving them more society negative judgements and bad treatments, when they are just trying to fit in the society? After all is it fully their choices made to be disabled?

Read moreUPDATE: 21/9/2025 - The store contacted me and gave me my toy. Kudos for following up. Therefore, 3 stars for service.
Ordered one set of Happy Meal Breakfast through the app on Friday morning. Also since I wanted an extra Tiny Tan toy, I chose and paid for “Donate The Meal”. Clearly stated that this option will only come with toy, no meal. Perfect. But when I went to collect my order, the staff insisted that the policy is NO toy will be given if I chose the “Donate The Meal” option. He even arrogantly told me that the previous day, someone ordered 19 sets of “Donate The Meal” but also no toys were given (hinting that I shouldn’t pursue because I only ordered 1 set??).
I DM-ed McD’s IG - no response. Dropped feedback via email - no response.
I went to another McD’s just now and asked if it’s possible to just purchase the toy. The staff said that I could! No problem at all. Siap told me the price with tax.
Waiting to hear from McD’s Management. 😡 Also included a photo from the app, to help the Management to remember what the option entails.
Had to give 1 star here, otherwise can’t post. If I had a choice - half a star. Only given 1 fork to eat my hotcakes....
