CHAR KUEY TEOW (new) (now a malay/indon cook) stall -- to be avoided at all costs!!! Everything was fine until I bit into the PRAWN that tastes BITTER. I spat it out!!!

When confronted, the lady said ya the prawns are bitter, so next time when you come (I thought she was gonna offer something to compensate me but, no, she said) she won’t give prawns but only ‘kerang’ (clams). Like… Hello?!!? And?!??

More story : She seem to have guessed my complaints before I even finished my sentence. It must mean she have received manyyyy of the same feedback before right? She gave some absurd reason on why it’s bitter which I will not say here (note: for VERY UNHEALTHY reasons). But the point is that she just dismissed it like that…. There were quite a few non verbal cues too! Simply had me speechless….. I wonder why nobody brought this topic up on Google Reviews!

Small RM 8; Big RM 9… It’s not even cheap!

And then, she smiled (again) like ‘haha-I-kinda-feel-you-I-hope-you-don’t-scold-me-but-its-too-bad-our-stall-can’t-compensate-and-we-won’t-too’ when she collected the plate! How is a serious matter : funny or to be smiled at?! What sort of answer is that??!!!! Am I supposed to accept your nonchalant answer?! Are you sure you are not killing us (or violating health code) too?!

I used to come here on and off throughout the years (mainly for CKT) -- since the quality has dropped + super bad & unacceptable experience & serious concerns today, therefore -- I guess no point coming here anymore!

BAN THIS STALL !!

(2 stars because I give face to coffee shop. Otherwise, the lowest rating for the CKT stall. And I hope they get fined or caught...

KEOW TEOW STALL 👎🏻Quality , service drops alot since the person who cook changd. 👎🏻Doing lazy work Drop the chili n ketchup directly into food insist give separate. Kerang and half cooked prawn n add kerang in the end without cook n mix in keow teow. 👎🏻Behave friendly with them they will sit on the head and cheat in the quality of work with pity face.

[halal] Yong Tau Fu

If you're looking for a Muslim-friendly restaurant that serves Chinese food in the PJ area, you might want to check out this place. They have an extensive menu, but during my visit, I decided to go with the Yong Tau Fu. I found the price to be reasonable, and each piece was generously sized.

One thing I appreciated about this restaurant is that they fry the Yong Tau Fu right after you order it, ensuring that it's served hot. However, I did notice that some of the pieces didn't taste as fresh as I would have liked. I suspect that this might be because they weren't stored properly in cool temperatures, which could have affected their freshness.
