2nd time here. I was craving some tomyam noodle soup today. As you can see, I am a fan of fish/seafood tomyam variants. The serving was pretty big and there’s a wide variety of fish which include fish cakes, fish balls, etc. It was creamy, not too spicy (I think kedai kopi Wan Wan’s pose a heavier broth and spicier) but I really like the variety of ingredients used. Most restaurants only served either steamed or fried fish (slices) mixed with prawns if there’s a fish mix option and that’s it. Although this is a primarily seafood dish, there’s no prawns or squid. It’s just fish mixed with other processed fish. Let’s talk about the cons. If they put sliced fish in instead of the boned one, I think it would be perfect. Now this is very subjective but I’m sure a lot of people would agree with me. I find it difficult and tedious to pick the fish meat out of the bones. I don’t want to use my fingers like a savage. We have table etiquette around here and we’re not cavemen. Last time I was here I had a wonderful time eating the tomato soup based noodle (ham choi) it was 5/5. This time around, because of the inconvenience I couldn’t enjoy my dinner as I did last time. Price wise; it’s expensive. Maybe it’s normal since this restaurant is really popular; but I assure you there’s more restaurants out there who serve the same quality without costing an arm and leg.

A place to go if you crave for a comforting bowl of flavourful fish soup in the morning or rainy day. Tried the tomato based soup mee hoon with giant grouper. The soup is light yet flavourful that is not overpowering the freshness of giant grouper which was nicely cooked. 1 of the better places that cooks giant grouper to perfection. The giant grouper soup mee hoon is not cheap (RM38), but they were really generous with the portion. Tom Yam mee hoon with fried fish may not be the best compared to some of the really good Thai Restaurants, but the soup is rich that is a pretty good one still hitting the sour and spicy sweet spot. My friend tried the “fish mix” noodles, which was pretty mediocre with just some of the processed fish meats, and minimal fish slices. Suggest to go with fresh fish instead. The fried sides were also just normal, nothing much to shout about, but they were generous with the filling.

It's an open space place to eat. We went there during night around 7-8pm. Before this, i often ate tom yum soup noodles in Suria mall with 1 pax portion. I thought in Hiltop will do the same. So, i didn't ask the waitress. :( The waitress also took other food orders while standing in front our table. Quite dissapointed bcs she did not focus our table and not explain the size portion to us. When our food came, we looked at each other and were very shocked bcs the tom yam are huge (per 1 big bowl) like 2-3pax can eat together for small eater like me. Haha! So funny. We ordered the same food! I really can't finished my tom yum soup noodles as I ordered 1 plate of rice too. Haha my friend finished it but stomach very full. 🤭 There are satay stall too. You can order them. It is better to dine in compare to order via grab delivery. Thank you Fatt Kee!

It was through recommendation that we came here for a meal. Their specialty was the tomato based fish soup and the tom yam based fish soup. We ordered one type each to try. I ordered the fish head grouper tomato based fish soup (RM25) and my friend ordered the fresh fish slice tom yam based fish soup (RM22). The tomato soup tasted refreshing, the fish head were in chunks but a little slightly overcooked (meaning not tender enough) to my liking. Overall was satisfying and I did not feel thirsty after that. The tom yam soup was not too sweet nor too spicy... it was nicely flavoured. The sliced fish were fresh and also chunky. My friend was happy and slurp up all the soup. The fried bean curd was normal, nothing to rave about. I heard the Coral Grouper was good but I heard it too late... maybe can try it the next time when I'm back in KK.

We arrived here for breakfast on a Monday morning, and there was no crowd. We opted for their recommended dish (indicated with a thumbs-up symbol), the Mee Hoon Soup - Fish Mixed. The soup base is tomato soup, which isn't typically my preference, but their version was surprisingly good and won me over. The mee hoon was the best we've ever had. However, the fried fish contained a lot of bones, which detracted from the enjoyment. The fried bean curd and fried wonton were tasty, but be cautious of the high price of the wonton. What we didn't appreciate was the lady boss's hard sell; we ended up ordering more than we had planned for. Additionally, the prices are on the high side. Also, without asking us, the lady boss added our driver meal (he was sitting at another table away from us) into our bills. Minus 1 star for that.

I’m new here and in exploring mood of tasty fish soup. Fatt Kee was in my list to visit after receiving a couple of recommendations from my colleagues. Non-muslim owners but they employ muslim wait staff, so I felt assured that the food they serve is Muslim-friendly. Plenty of round tables, suitable for couples and families. The service was very quick on a Sunday night. Go for the tom yam soup, it’s very delicious. However, only one option of vegetable dish was available that night. The price is a tad higher than Kudat Sup Ikan, but I think it’s justified based on the price and quality of service. I ordered a glass of cold Chinese tea. You have to pay immediately upon serving. The foods can be paid before you leave via cash or QR code.
